Hello again

as it seems like a few people enjoyed the news of the month from Aircraft Recognition journal here is another scan from the july issue containing perhaps the only other thing of 'general' interest in this months issue - a few combat report extracts, (apart from the usual incredibly hard quiz, which hardly anyone can do!)

- hope they are of interest & if so please bump for others - thank you

Interesting report.

What's with the "Sikorsky helicopters flown from Allied ships in the Atlantic against German submarines" stuff???

the helicopters were used in an attempt to spot u-boats
pretty much in the same way dirigibles or whatever they were called were used. - i don't think they actually had any means of attacking themselves - but would spot and probably direct ships guns/depth charges or other aircraft to do the attacking.
