Last night the battle of Britain was narrowly avoided. The Gerries had pushed the French all the way back to Calais, and the British off main-land Europe.

All through the night I was escorting British cargo planes, full of paratroopers across the channel to drops in Northern France. We were taking off from Folkstone for a 20 minute flight, dropping guys mainly around St.Omer.
I was in a Spitfire MK1.

Thankfuly, the allies have managed to push the Germans back from the coast of Normandy, further into Belgium. The British Paratroopers devestated German positions in the French towns. The fighting is very intense.... and who knows, if they push us back to Britian, it is going to be a BOB!

Excellent stuff http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

My only problem with these massive games is that operations, whether they be offensive or defensive, have no organization whatsoever. People jump into vehicles and do their own thing, fly wherever they want. No teamwork, no unit action. It would be cool if they had a parallel war running that was only for squadrons/online groups.

Then it would start interesting me plenty!

I had this game , and never played it a few years ago. then i found out a friend of has it, so i signed up.

there are tons of squads out there, and there is a lot of tactic involved, becasue it takes soooo long to get anywhere, you dont want to be by yourself and get sapped, after traveling a half hour to the next city.

graphics=BAD
gameplay= GOOD!

Yeah there are some huge squads out there. It is not uncommon to stroll into a friendly town and tag along with a 30+ man squad doing a mission.

The bombing raids kick ar$e! Huge numbers of blenheims and Havocs mass to go and bomb German factories.

We have about 400 members in my Battalion/Squad. Wonder if we could all get on a server? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The invasion has begun!!!
Looks like the Germans got themselves a squad of paras onto the Southern Coast. I spent all yesterday trying to rid the sea towns of German intruders.
We had gliders landing on the seafront behind the towns, and we would crawl in and shoot em up http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

is it free to play online yet http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I use to be one of the thousands of beta testers when it was in testing and they gave us a free 6 month trial when it went gold.

It sucked when they sprung the pay to play online **** on us testers at the end before it was final.

Still it was a fun game but not worth a monthly fee in my opinion, but then again no game is. They did do alot of good work with patchs and new vechiles, soldier fixes weapon fixes etc but still is looking like a 1985 game.
