Now that Christmas is behind us and winter has its grip on us, I'm thinking Spring already. I can't wait to mow my green lawn and be rewarded with a cold beer on a warm day. That is vacation enough right now, but I think I would like to visit the North Carolina crystal coast in May. I love Wilmington, Swansboro, Bogue Island, Beaufort, and Okracoke Island that time of year, after the Azalea blooms fall.

Anyone going to NOLA for Mardi Gras? We have our own version in St. Louis...they say it's the 2nd largest in the states...but we're smart enough not to compare it to the real one. At least the boobs-for-beads thing is catching on pretty well, though.

LOL...going to NC would mean traveling North. I'll stay here...in Daytona Beach. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Don't think I'll be going to North Carolina either, it's too far to swim. It'll still be soggy old England for me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

What's Spring Break? Is it Easter?

Cheers!

Ah.. In Norway there is no suchs thing as a 'Spring Break'. No vacation between easter and summer holliday. But I'll grab a beer or two about the time spring break commence and think of you yankees!

Pittsburgh, PA.

Every year I go see a baseball series at a different Major League venue. This year it's the Pittsburgh Pirates.

During the Oregon school systems' "Spring Break" in late March, I will be celebrating my 4th Wedding Anniversery http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif and travelling to British Columbia to meet up with a fellow squadmate. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Well I'm English but living in Scotland, but still have no idea what Spring Break is..

Will be going to Budapest for cheap beer and culture in February, and hopefully St Petersburg and Moscow around Russian Easter or May Day - been learning the language for a year and half now (palnara got?) so should really put it to practise. Mind you - can still only recognise "harasho rabota" as a message from my rear gunner!

Just like the past 2 years, my school's baseball team travels to Florida the first week of March to start our baseball season. We play 11 games over 7 or 8 days and still practice too.

We also stay in the Met's community and share the same pool so for the past 2 years I've seen Al Leiter and Tom Glavine amongst other Mets and their hot hot wives.

I don't like going anywhere too often, but someday soon I plan to go to the Donestk region of the Ukraine to visit Lilya Litvyak's monument.

Here in the US schools, from elementary up to colleges close for one week. Usually around easter. This is why its called spring break. Many people take a quick vacation during this break.

As for me...I just started classes yesterday, spring break hasn't even occured to me.

It was a long time since I had holidays but I had the fortune to see many places when younger
through my educations.
I have been able to visit:

Finland (holidays in childhood)
Belarus
Germany
nederlands
belgium
Luxemburg
Quick detour through France
Schweiz
Austria
Czech republic
northern Italy
Greece
Madeira (on holiday once 60km from N africa)

Never really thought about it before, but those trips have had a great impact on my adult life in many ways.

If U have a chance to go somewhere so take it.
