Just thinking about possibility of Med missions if Brit or USA planes and a carrier or two and supporting ships can be used with the German and Italian planes from the FB.

What are teh Compatibility Whiners going to do now? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Crap planes??? The sm.79 was a better torpedo bomber than anything the British had, or the Americans.....

sorry Espo.. but when i see three props, I think Trimotor and well ....

Beleive me - I am an advocate of all post WW1 and pre-WWII "golden age" aircraft..

Lots of wires and corrugated metal and fabric-covered wings etc.. kept together in one era .
But whenever those planes ventured out into the WWII combat zones they were peeled and flayed mercilessly..for the most part.(Fairey Swordfish notwithstanding)

I hear ya. I did some research on the sm.79. Seems its one of the few italian design that actually was effective....

What about the Macchi series? those planes were good fighters. On par with all other great planes in ETO.

Molto Italiano molto Buono -si?

I personally like the mc.200 saetta, but the mc.202 folgore was an effective fighter vs the kittyhawks and early spits and Hurricane. The mc.205 Veltro was a great fighter, too little too late though...... Regianne 2005 sagitario was a great fighter too, but only a few were built.

something to ponder...

Say FB gets Beaufighter in December, and we Patch it over the FB (don't smile yet). Can it be used by the FP? Assuming compatibility hints YES--at least for FB planes (and maps) that we have by December. This does not ensure compatibility with FB planes Patched after December. Although I assume the PF will be coded to ensure compatibility with all future FB Patched planes (and maps and possibly Objects).

Its a nit-picky idea, but I do some FORTRAN programming, and it has made me a real nit-pick. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

The term "Crap Planes" is now being used in an affectionate way for all of the early war or pre-war aircraft. The Bf 109D for instance would fit into this category as well. The Gladiator, the Hurricane to some extent, some other bi-planes, the Blenhiem and other types...those are the so called "Crap Planes". Its not a mark on their quality and I'm not sure how its gotten that way but I take it to mean everything that wasn't part of the late war battles in a significant way.
