1)On the top left hand corner click on View object.

2)you should see object/ type /aircraft type /of aircraft. To the right of aircraft and type of aircraft you shold see a downward pointing arrow.

3)Click on that arrow and a list of objects should appear. Armour/ vehicles/ ect.

4)Click on aircraft types and a list of all the aircraft should appear.

5)Move your cursor into the list and a black highlight should appear, I scroll down with my mouse wheel.

6)pick the type of plane you want by clicking on it. ex. hurricane.

7)Now, find an area on the map where you want the plane to start the mission. EX airfield/Carrier. Pick one end of the airfield.

8)Simultaneously press Ctrl + mouse click.

A circle should appear blinking.

9)Back to Objects click on properties.
Again using the downward arrows fill in your choices.
10)Click on waypoint fourth one down click on takeoff the circle should change into a plane silhouette. Ctrl+ mouse click and there is your first waypoint.
11)Fill in your choices of altitude and speed. reverse altutude and speed and then landing at the other end of the airfield.

Airstart; skip step 7.
simply fill in your choices of altitude and speed the plane will start from there. if too low and or slow the plane will crash.

Strangely enough, I read the manual and it told me all I needed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
Seriously though, I'm pretty sure there is a easy/quick guide online somewhere.

Note that the method described above only works for single player, campaign and co-op missions. For dogfight mode multiplayer missions you'll have to put detailed navigation instructions in the briefing as there is no means of showing a set of waypoints in the briefing screen in that mode.
