Hello everyone ... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
I have a serious problem and I am very disappointed ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif
I don't know what to do to complete this mission; "A Change of Plans
Learn about the Villa and discover the Codex Pages hidden there."
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
I've tried every thing came to my mind but still stuck in the same place!

the Current Objective said: Follow Mario. I followed him to the villa and don't know what to do next.
Any idea? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Yes I tried that! I also uninstalled the game and reinstalled it again but still have the same problem!

By the way it is in Sequence 3 Memory 5.

So what exactly happens when you talk to Mario in the study? When you say you're stuck I assume you mean he doesn't respond or something?

If I remember correctly, this is the mission where you have to go to the blacksmiths and buy some greaves.

No, "a change of plans" is the mission after you assassinate Vieri.

He stands in the entrance hall of the Villa and doesn't respond to any action I take!
I've looked around the Villa and the city and didn't find any codex pages!
I was not able to talk to Mario at all!

NO ... what I am talking about is after that and, as Keighvin said, after killing Vieri immediately.

OK .. what you have to do after killing Vieri is going back to the Villa and talk to Mario, where he would be standing with some of his men near the combat training circle, after that you follow him inside the Villa... what's next?

Keighvin

Have you done the viewpoint on top of the villa? Because if you have I'm not sure what else you can do. If you've already been told to find the pages, they should be there somewhere.

Edit: Just to be clear, you've followed Mario inside, talked to him in the study, put you're codex page on the wall and been told to go find the ones in and around Monteriggioni, correct?

This is a pretty new post =O. Why do you people use PC for the game, i believe that this game is meant for PS3/XBOX 360. =P

Yes ... I have done the viewpoint on top of the villa.
I followed Mario inside and was not able to speak to him anywhere.
I was not able to put the codex pages I already have on the wall nor find other codex pages around Monteriggioni !! I have searched it inch by inch!

Don't mind the idiots, Godzela. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I think there's a letter you're supposed to read, and after that you'll be able to talk w/ Mario in the study. I can't remember what they named the letter, but go into your documents and find one written by some guy to Vieri's father about his evaluation of Vieri.

After accessing that document, the game should proceed. BTW, you *may* have to hit the viewpoint again after Mario tells you about the codex -- i.e., there may be a marker there even though you've already synchronized it. Maybe not, but don't be surprised if you're led back there.

Hope that helps. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

lilbacchant ...
I have read all the letters and opened all the codex pages in the database but nothing changed!
The problem is that Mario, after finish talking to Ezio, remains in the entrance hall of the Villa! Isn't he supposed to go to the library room? Anyway, I still cant get it to proceed to the next mission.
thanx man

When you accessed the letters in the database, did you find the specific one I mentioned? If so, and Mario is still hanging in the lobby, then I'm stuck too.

Hmmm ... what happens if you abort memory?

This is the exactly the same thing that happened with me! I am not able to talk to Mario or do anything else with the codex wall.

I'm put back to the city of Monteriggioni, inside the castle's walls.

Sorry, just to clarify, is this the part where Ezio decides to stay with Mario and learn?

And you haven't got any codex pages at all yet?

Do you have any exclamation marks on your map at all of where to go next?

Before you can interact with the codex page, you need to go to Leonardo to get the ones have decoded.

No...far after!

And you haven't got any codex pages at all yet?
I have some codex pages, some of them decoded and the other not decoded yet.

Do you have any exclamation marks on your map at all of where to go next?
NO man .. I already have started the mission!

Before you can interact with the codex page, you need to go to Leonardo to get the ones have decoded.
I did go to Leonardo but coudn't enter his house and, as I said before, I have some decoded pages with me already.

Come on guys! No one finished the game yet?!!

Calm down, Godzela, I know you're frustrated -- I would be too -- but we're just trying to help. I've completed the game several times and I assume Mouse03 has as well given his other posts on the forum.

The problem is that neither of us have encountered the problem ourselves, nor heard of it before. In an effort to make sure we're all on the same page, here's what it says on the ACwikia for the first couple of steps of Sequence 3, Memory 5:

--
* Talk to Mario just outside his home and follow him indoors. He'll part ways soon, leaving you to read a letter that you've got. After reading the letter, you can find Mario in his back room. Talk to him again for another cut scene.

* Mario sends you to collect four codex pages scattered throughout the villa. To find them easily, climb to the top of Mario's estate and move to the view point to synchronize. All four codex pages will appear on your map, making the collection very easy. Just go to the four locations on your map and you'll find the codex boxes in plain view on the lowest ground level.
--

As I understand it, the problem Godzela is having is that, per the first step, Mario isn't "parting ways" for some reason.

So, a few more questions:

After the Abort Memory you did, is Mario still standing in the lobby?

Do you remember getting the dialogue w/ Mario where he tells you to read the letter?

During your assassination of Vieri, did you encounter anything that seemed glitchy?

Unfortunately, unless an answer to one of those questions sparks some insight for me, I'm not sure WTH is going on. I feel for ya if it turns out to be a game-breaking bug ...

I'm sorry. I don't mean to be rude. I'm just, as u said, frustrated. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif
OK, first I'll answer your questions.

After the Abort Memory you did, is Mario still standing in the lobby?
No. After I abort the memory, Mario stands with his men outside the Villa near the training track .

Do you remember getting the dialogue w/ Mario where he tells you to read the letter?
Yes if you mean the dialogue Mario has with Ezio after killing Vieri. I remember that he gives Ezio a letter and asks him to read it when he has the time.

During your assassination of Vieri, did you encounter anything that seemed glitchy?
Actually I don't remember.

Would you please give me the URL of this ACwikia.

See, everytime there's something new to do, or another place to go, you get an exclamation mark on your map to where you are to go next. Even if it is inside the Villa to where Mario is standing waiting for you.
If there are several places to go, you get exclamation marks at all of those.

If Mario has spoken to you and is then meant to leave you to go to another part of the Villa, you should have an exclamation mark on your map showing you where he is waiting for you.

As Lilbacchant has said, if this isn't happening, the game isn't triggering the next part of the mission for some reason.

I don't believe it has anything to do with reading the letter, as i didn't, and had no problems.

Maybe your best bet is to email Ubisoft support and tell them about your problem.
I don't have the link, but if you go to the Ubi site, there should be a link to support. They get back to you quickly. I got an email from them next day.

I have also played the game through 3 times, and have never had this issue. It's played smoothly throughout (touch wood!).
One time where a sequence would not trigger, i quit (end game, exit to Windows, wait for Launcher to shut down), and restarted the game, and it worked fine.

Really? For me (Xbox), If I didn't at least access the letter in the database, the marker wouldn't appear to meet Mario in the study. My first playthru, that stumbled me for a few minutes ... weird. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Mario's by the training circle? Have you tried talking to him? Are there several other mercenaries there? I can't remember if this is when it happens or not, but maybe the "celebration" scene is waiting to happen ... if so, then just walking near the group should trigger it.

Godzela

My problem begins after the "celebration" scene... I talk to Mario while walking inside ... the final sentence he says is "Enough of grim talk for tonight. I'll be in my study if you need me." and freezes in his place....
So... nothing new on the map ... and I can't do anything to change the situation... I guise it is a glitch! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif
thanx for the url ... I'll try to contact the support.
thank u all for your help

I'm on PC, and it does say to read the letter, but i get the green target straight away where Mario's waiting i the codex room. I can go to him and talk to him and continue the game never having read the letter.

Though, i think once you've played the game once, it knows you have. I think this because the 2nd time i played it, it showed the family tomb on the map without me having to get it from Uplay again. It just showed up and i got a message saying it's accessible. Go figure.
