Mine is a relatively fresh installation so not that many extra paintschemes or missions. I do have IL2 MAT Manager installed as well as Battle Over Europe, so that bumps it up a wee bit!

So...

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 @ 4.071m = 4.90GB
122,160 files, 1969 folders

Singularly the biggest installation I have ever had on my hard drive http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Consider the VFR Generation X photographic scenery for the UK in Microsoft Flight Simulator 10. Each of the three volumes (covering England and Wales in glorious high-res aerial photographic texture) ships on three dual-layer DVDs. That's 22GB per volume (if you install all the trimmings), 66GB overall... that's bigger than my hard-drive and only ONE series of FS addon. Admittedly it is almost certainly the biggest...<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Salute! to the creator(s) of IL2 MAT Manager. That installation alone is over 90,000 files. There is some work gone into that http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

2.37GB via 1946 install. So I have 46. Il2 Matmanager, BOE, Operation Barbarosa, Aces Campaign, Combat Over Europe, Banzai, Case Blue, The Last Days, Rebirth of Honor, Wings Over Waves, Wings Over Jungles, and Ostfront. Plus Skins, Squadron Campaigns and more. That's Skinny compared to over 4GB on my old install.

You also should add If it is Il2 related, utilities, software and hardware. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Mostly skins. Add-ons are Battle Over Europe, Operation Barbarossa, The Last Days, and Wings Over Jungles. I'm expecting Ostfront in the next few days so I can try some interesting Pe-2/3 campaigns.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

v4.04m (OK, so I'm behind the times a bit) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

Mine comes in at 6.66GB, 125,187 files.

Are you guys including the PaintSchemes\Cache folder? That one folder can add a TON to the full disk space used. A 1024x1024 skin (nominally 1MB in the Skins folder) increases to just over 5MB in the Cache folder. If you use lots of different skins, that may be artificially bumping up your disk usage.

By the way, my disk usage is with a (nearly) empty cache (10.6MB). Mine's abnormally empty because of the B-17G/P-51B/P-51C markings project I've been working on.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

My entire installation folder almost reaches 12 Gb evn after a purge of all non-historical skins...<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

In that case, add about 2.5GB to my total for skins in the cache before I cleaned it out. If we include all IL-2 related stuff, I have about 20GB of movie clips (for my own movies, not ones I've downloaded), skin templates, pictures from research for skinning and so on. Another 4Gb on DVD of finished IL2 movies, skins, missions, etc.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Just remember...it's not the size that matters...it's how you use it.

Of course if it's huge...a lot less effort is involved on your part...
