What is your favorite track?(I'm talking about the actual 80 track soundtrack)The soundtrack fits the game well and the culture around the game like all other AC games!

There's 2 that they use during the main missions alot but I haven't been able to find the name of them.
I plan to get them on MP3 when I find out.

(music starts about 1:40. it's not the music during Duccio's segment).
GREAT Mission too -

I really like while you are playing in multiplayer, and some random tracks are chosed for the entire session, and there is one specificly that sounds like a techno and the beat goes really cool when u are in pumping situations, it kind reminds me of - Daft Punk- The game has changed -

but the track in the game isnt that aggresive as that one.

I think the multiplayer songs as background music are not random, are specific for each map. I mean, when I play Ippokratous or Knights Hospital the background music is always the same in each one.

Awesome! Thanks, I'll go check those out & hopefully grab them today. There are 2 different versions of this song (at least they sound very similar), so this sounds about right w/ the titles & that they go on only during missions.

Totally loved how one of the caverns had like the AC1 Masyaf ticking song.

Also, I loved the second or third seal boat chase tune.

I loved the soundtrack to the Game, Jesper wrote some really unique gameplay tracks that built the atmosphere, I've replayed the game to admire some of these in their entirety, and Lorne's music really had power and emotion relevant to the story.

However was I the only one off that he overused the theme tune in so many of his compositions?

It was good to use it throughout the story - it sort of felt like it put everything in a context.

But after hearing it more than 10 times in cutscenes it was really annoying me and making the music feel less effective.

I liked the soundtrack a lot and it's still growing on me now. I agree that Lorne Balfe's theme feels way overused during the singleplayer story. I think constantly having it sung by that contest winner diminished it a little bit too — if there were more instances of that theme being played by an instrument instead of sung over and over, it might not have felt so repetitive.

Balfe's music was good, but it just feels a little disjointed to have the musical style constantly switch between his and Jesper Kyd's style. I would prefer Kyd score all of AC3's singleplayer music, including the main theme. Ezio's Family is so universally loved and was great during the opening scene to AC2, so I don't understand why they wouldn't let him write something like that again. Kyd's style fits the game better than Balfe's overly-cinematic style, in my opinion.

The full soundtrack is 2 hours and 42 minutes, with most of the short tracks only on the multiplayer volume of music. My favorite tracks are the exploration tracks (Welcome to Kostantinyye, Crossroads of the World, Byzantium, and Istanbul), the Investigation track and the secret location tracks like Galata Tower and Forum of Ox.

Agree with you completely twenty. I also liked Road to Masyaf, You have earned your rest and Unsubtle approach by Balfe too though. Those were where the theme actually worked and the vocals weren't overdone.

However the second half of the theme song was VERY epic in my opinion.

I agree with everything you said — those are my favorite tracks by Balfe as well. I thought "The Revelation" track by him that played during the final scene of the game was pretty good and I'm glad it had the electronic sound that you'd expect for the science fiction moment. It still doesn't stick with me the same way Apple Chamber by Jesper does from last year's climax.

It's funny you use this wording, that's what I described about it - and all of ACR.
I felt after hitting the mid point of ACR, that the game was growing on me.
I went & picked up some MP3's yesterday.

I always wonder how they write a song for a game that isn't finished yet - they can only have some bits & pieces of the graphics/artwork to form the music around.
Very talented.

She has a great voice but I've heard it too often to appreciate it like I did when I first listened to her competition entry.
