Hook two together. Looks bad but it works and you can still enjoy carrier traps.

I agree,, you can also use a strip or two of the Test Runways on open water... hey! don't laugh, if we can't get dynamic carrier and planes that refuse to lift off with a tank of gas... we need to use soemthing that will work.. in real life the planes lifted off.... to bad we could not have dynamic carriers in static maps... I am not sure why it wasn't done, must have been a reason... so I will take their word for it...

There is no need for a tank of gas in a carrier based aircraft. These ac were designed to hold enough fuel for hours (7 in the Zero)

As we generally sortie no longer than 30 minutes, 25% is twice what you'll need.

You havent seem my Okinwaw (Dogfight) map have you? It takes 20 minutes just to get to the target. You guys need a challange? IJ flew to Okinawa from Kyushu, Japan. 600 miles and Four hours round trip if they get a chance to go home. On my map it will take at least 30 minutes for the IJ to get to Okinawa...no GPS system. This map separates the men from the boys. Now I need to figure out how to bypass my DSL box so I can host a multiplayer game.

sounds good.
all my missions have 15-20 minutes to target though i assumed it was the norm.

hwoever i made a mess of the last one i made and found out the figthters had one hour round trip (assuming no time on target)

and the bombers landed 2:45 after taking off from the carriers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ooops...

anyway i flew it one time for fun! had a greta time in my old b25, made it home relativly intact, and managed to help sink a battleship.
unfortunatly the missions a waste as the ai wont skip bomb http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

but i wouldnt fly another 3 hour mission lol, especially when im navigating blind, the home base radio call would have taken me to the carriers.

still when i touched down i felt a real accomplishment, missing in the ussualy 20 minute round trips.

i think 1 hour missions are enjoyable, but keep mine down to about 30 minutes at the moment. with the occaisional hour+ mission thrown in.
you got yours uploaded somewhere ?

The Blue test runway is Kyushu
The Blue blob up north is the Yamoto
The red blob south east is Task Force 58

Still in the works but its pretty cool so far

Here is the deal
Kyushu is 300 miles north
Yamoto is about 250 miles north to north west
Task Force 58 is most always 60 to 150 miles east of Okinawa

Task Force 51 (east of Okinwaw) had about 10 Battle Ships, 9 Cruisers, 23 Distroyers and 177 gun boats.

Task Force 58 had around 10 carriers and a **** load of everything else...Im still working on the details.
