Hey I was looking for a video clip that may be out there. My CFI instructor has a myriad of awesome aviation clips and I don't want to bug him to send this one too me I think he said he found it online...

Anyways its basically a French video of 3 Mirages doing a low flyby on a small unimproved strip I think? The first two whiz by with shock and awe at about 25 feet up or so doing about 500 kts... which is pretty cool. But before the camera man can spin back to catch the third guy he's almost already by and about 4 or 5 feet of the ground going about 600 just under the speed of sound. Its quite ridicoulous and cool!

I was wonder if anyone knows what I'm talking about it?

Either way this isn't just for me feel free to post any other cool aviation vids that haven't already been thrown around too! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photogallery/Videos/2006-2-14_altitude.wmv

For those that no please do not post the link to the main site as we crashed it last time......

Enjoy

For those that dont know the 3 aircraft are 2 Mirages and a Jaguar T bird..........I believe it or not have actually done this for real at these heights in a Jaguar when based in Gibralter.
The reason is to stay below ships radar in the Strike role and we were simulating Exocet launches against a frigate heading south to the Falklands post Falklands War, when their was still tension in the air between both countries... Oh and to your query, YES!!!! it is a Balls out ride of a lifetime, the attack was finished with a 7G pull out across the bows of the frigate and a slow rotating vertical climb to 22,000 ft followed by Aeros and some supersonic stuff back down to low level, oh I was also having a go myself at all the manouevers.................... To all of you in here from the UK and Taxpayers, I would just like to say to you all THANK YOU http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

It can often be down to simply being in the right place at the right time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

An example was I was asked would you like to fly up to the RAF Leuchars Airshow in the Fuga for the weekend? It is being sponsored by a brewery so the place is awash with free booze for participants, free accomodation is sorted and a free round of golf is thrown in on the famous St Andrews Golf course........... The words FREE BEER did it, don't play golf but BEER http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif so spent a long weekend on the pop and at the Airshow all for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif Was worth it to sit in the car we had with us http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif see the picture below

Some people just have this kind of field around them that makes shore that they are in the right place at the right time. Or when they drive to fast and get pulled over by a cop, he is being called away and they go free.
I think you are one of those people my friend.
I am deffenotly not! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif
