That is the question.
If Mod then what Mod to apply?
9th flotilla (looks good)
1.21 Real U_Boot? (I don't know about this one).
World Expansion for Silent Hunter III 2.0...?
I really don't know about this one.
Sky Mod v.1 looks cool.
Not to Mod and wait for next patch?

How about looking at what those mods do and then deciding for yourself if they are worth trying? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

And if you mod, don't forget to backup. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

For me, the 9th Flotilla with the Real U-boat mod (and added the sky mod for good measure) were the way to go, but I'm into "realism" (to a certain extent).

Way less contacts, intel. The crew management model is better. All the map tools are in there. Most of all, actually sinking something is rewarding.

As for the sky, very nice. Sometimes I'll just sit up on deck for a few minutes drinking my coffee while a look about the wonderfully created digital world around me. One thing that can't be argued about SHIII, the ocean enviroment is a work of art.

If you want the big tonnage patrols, stay away from this mod. If you have some patience and a desire to (perhaps) experience things a little closer to how they might have been, try out the Real U-boat mod.

the 9th flotilla mod didn't work on my computer. but out of experience, I say yes to mod!
mods like life itself.. bring life to the soul of a game.
