They play football in Europe? Or are you talking "football" as in soccer? We call it soccer in the states. Why, I don't know but we do.

Yep... instead, you call "football" a game where nobody plays the ball with the foot (except on some very few occasions)

"Soccer" comes from " football association"... who was reduced to "association", then "assoc", then "soc"

Gratz to Croatia there!

Man, Germany - Ireland 0:0

what a lame game. Ireland would have deserved to win in all honesty.

Poland : Kazakhstan 3:1

A twitchy start with a great finish.

One more game to win.

So, appears like Germany got put together into group B, with Poland, Austria and Croatia.

Interesting group, but should be managable.

What you call 'soccer', is actually football -at least since the 1800s. Because you know, it has a ball, and you kick it with the foot.

The thing you call 'football' is... another thing. Maybe it should be called 'armpitmellon'? 'Wardrobe-like-men-clashing'?
