okay guys, maybe its a bit early but i have to ask.
How will the sequel to this game be?!
Do you guys even see a sequel coming??
I love the ending to the game! But its hard for me to see a story for a sequel.

Maybe he starts to work for the secret service and the president?
cause i really dont see him going back to third echelon (it was destroyed!!) and the end of the game wen Grim said "Sam i need you" and Sam replies "... Goodbye Grim" i believe he ment goodbye for ever!!! it seems Sam will not work with Grim anymore cause she lied to him about his daughter!
Maybe Sam and Victor start their own little infiltration/knowledge gathering organization or something? lol
i dont know. any ideas guys?
post any ideas u have about the future story of this series or the way you would like it to be.

I think there could easily be a sequel.
If you look at the end of Victor's interrogation (the ending of the game) he says (talking about Sam):
"He talked about learning who was really important to you, why you always have to come back for them, he talked about family....you know what the last thing he said to me was just before he hung up? Vic, he said, thanks for everything, I love you like a brother. Brother, that's family right?"

*alarms go off, shooting*

"Yeah, I thought so".

The conclusion being that Sam has come to rescue Vic because you always come back for family, and then the game ends. That has sequel written all over it imo.

It's true the final is EPIC!

Anyway i think will have another Splinter Cell but not with Sam Fisher as playable character. They'll introduce new person with much skill as Fisher.

amen to that...

If there will be SC 6 with Sam (otherwise it is not SC), it will probably follow the same "24" storyline from Conviction...and it has to be personal for Sam, I see no other reason why would he come back to save the world...
On the other hand, again following Conviction, it will be short action game with a lot of scripted moments....
Wishlist...,keep M&E, but tune it down, keep sonar, add more stealth, NVG,remove LKP, add more brutal interrogations, and NO dumb flashback missions, of course Grim and Coste will have to be there...And keep this co-op MP I like it...
All in all more Sam less "3JB"

Well, a very personal mission, Sam as mad as he ever was, then the next game will be called:
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Sarah's Wedding!

Sarah falls in love with a enviromentalist type, tree-hugging kind of guy. A authorithy defying type who sings bad hippie songs about the system:

The information crisis was a hoax
The CIA and FBI are jooo-kes...

And his name is... John Brown!

As you can see Sam is madder than ever!

Missions Included:
- Infiltrate the Stripper Party: see if JB won't cheat on Sarah (hint for a VERY brutal interrogation scene)
- Follow Sarah's -in-laws without being seen;
and, of course:
- Help Sarah find the perfect dress: easily, the most difficult mission on the game.

Now, that would be a good reason for Infinite Mark&Executes...

P.S.: Sorry Rams_ for ruining your serious thread...

And for Co-op you got face-off between Sam and his son in laws father over who will pay for wedding...
I can see the trailer: when priest says speak now or forever hold your peace camera zooms Sams angry face and the end....
and of course Maxime says Sam is not working for the goverment anymore

Personally I see the Next SC game making Sam the head of third echelon and bringing in Archer as the main character of the game. After all Sam is getting old and probably wants to spend more time with his daughter so I do not see him going back into the field. And since this game was a reinvention of the series and the single player game was so short there has been a focus on the MP aspect of the game probably to help ease people into the idea of playing Archer in the next game. This is IMO however.

I'd love it if they let go Sam as the playable character. He could make his own agency of hi-tech mercenaries (like Black Arrow, only "the good guys") and perhaps use it to fight Megiddo while we'd control one of the agents that Sam's training. Do you imagine how epic it would be to start the game in a training room similar to that from Splinter Cell 1 with Sam's voice in your ear saying "welcome to the training grounds, greenhorn...".
Or the he could ally with Grim and help the President in some ways... Dunno, at least I hope they'll add more stealth to the sequel. I loved Conviction for everything it had, but more stealth would be nice.

yea... archer is dead so he cant come back ...

i was thinking maybe it will have something to do with Sarah...maybe she become a Splinter Cell?! or maybe she just joins ShadowNet ( http://splintercell.wikia.com/wiki/SHADOWNET ) and u use her throught the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But Maybe Sam and Victor start their own little agency like Khashim83 said (Sorry EP3nquin, but third echelon was destroyed and i dont think they will bring it back cause Reed ruined it's reputation as a 'good' agency).
I really dont see Sam coming back to work along side Grim. i really dont cause Sam was way too mad about her lying to him.
Sam and Victor will be the head guys in the new agency and you wil be using new in-training Splinter Cells, or maybe they will be called another name lol.
Or maybe they will bring Agent One and/or Agent Two back! (the Co-op splinter cells from Chaos Theory and Double Agent.) They will be working for Sam!

I think developers should makes some plots to let Sam Fisher or his "apprentice" get more similar stealthy gadgets in Chaos Theory...

I miss them!

BTW, my idea of next splinter cell would be:

Sam Fisher, Victor and Sarah were moved in somewhere else to avoid the messy world
and enjoy the peace.

Sarah studies fine. Sam and Vic are working as security and intel advisers from an large casino.

(May be in Dubai?)

Despite of their intelligence, the staff did not defend the casino well when Sam and Vic are on vacations.

All money are stolen, but none of them was killed.

Sam and Vic were blamed by an organization as a part of the crime. (So they can get out of the danger...they think.)

Anyway, they got out from the prison and tried to find the evidences for hunting the crime group down with non-lethal ways.
(Cause he is hunted by the police at the early stages! He has to keep a low profile.
But it will not be as crowd-and-society-based stealth like the 07 build.)

Then, Sam and Vic finally got the evidence to proof their innocence.
But Sarah was kidnapped by the crime organization,
Sam and Vic will be cooperate with the police and hunt the crime leader alive and save Sarah.
(For example, the last mission would be the police will only stay outside the base.
They will only go in when Sarah is escorted by Sam.
Any storyline to let players to be stealthy. Not too sexy pew pew pew and panther sound.)

Gameplay feature:

Buy weapons and gadgets on black market at the early stages.
Victor is an operator in the early missions.

Whatever any mission, Sam will wear a tactical operative suit.

At later stages, Sam can get weapons and gadgets from government assistance.
Police, FBI or Vic will be operators in the later missions.

All stealthy moves in Chaos Theory and action abilities in Conviction can be performed...
(which most old school fans prefer as a chaos theory 2.0)

hah, thats a pretty good story!
But... splinter cell has always dealt with a massive terrorist threat. So going from saving the president and stopping nuclear weapons to getting some robbers is kinda ... idk, a bit weak.
But still i really like this story http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif just gotta tweak a little here and there.

I don't really care what the story is as long as it is cool and exciting. For Conviction, I thought that rescuing Sarah is that she was kidnapped my Tom Reed and we had to do some epic rescuing with M&E. Maybe Sarah is kidnapped in SC6 and we go rescue her? Just a thought. I would love to see bigger places, like in cities. New York is a good place, better yet Montreal, the heart of UBIsoft. A mission in UBIsoft place, lol. The Washington Monument gameplay would be good for the big cities.

All I care about is the fun of the game. However, I do have to say, I want the action to be kept. I want both action and stealth in the game. Keep the CQC moves, especially the death from above. Balance the stealth and action gameplay. It's ok if enemies know Sam is there already, in some missions. Bring more co-op! Bring back Bob and Steve or new characters. HOWEVER, this is big. DO NOT REMOVE Sam Fisher! He is the protagonist and he defines the series, so do not remove him as the playable character! The game can have another playable character but Sam should be the one that is played most of the time.

That is it.

Then...my idea would be slightly changed to the one below:

In the middle they found that the crime organization is bigger than just stealing money.
These criminal actually support the finance of different terrorists trials.

These thieves have a lot of high-tech equipment.
(Hacking devices, night and thermal vision when they are on mission.)
And in no time, Sam and Vic assumed that
there would be some rogue mercs worked with the corrupted weapon traders which also worked with the Dubai government.

After a several mission, they discovered something!
These terrorists and the corrupted civil services members are going to plan bombs
at Dubai, then blackmail the government to give the terrorists financial support, and release some members of terrorism in international prisons.

After saving Sarah, he realized that if he does not prevent this happening, they especially Sarah will be in danger in the long term.

And he cooperate with FBI or CIA by his will, in order to save the world,
and also the peace of his retirement.

In co-op mission, there would be some agents who are former splinter cell and sent to other department before the 3E is controlled by Tom Reed (or new splinter cell which is created by Grim), doing missions with the assistance FBI or CIA for the whole operation, in other places at the same time which Sam Fisher did not go.

And at the end, the corrupted legal weapon traders, civil services members and the crime leader, terrorists have been captured.
(Or some of them will be killed or assassinated by orders?)

Sam Fisher and Victor get paid, and they enjoy their half-retirement until the next...???

Coste's interrogation does have sequel written all over it. Would probably be something like the 3E Infiltration mission but on a full campaign scale, or something similar. He walks off after Reed is killed, finds out Coste has gone from downed pilot with Sam's daughter and now Black Arrow have BOTH Coste and Sarah. Grim supplies some intel, whats left of the remaining loyal 3E tech guys give Sam some gadgets to play with, and Sam tears down Black Arrow like their Airfield.

If a sequel is to be made, definitely keep the cover system. I have to say that without a doubt that is probably the best designed use of cover mechanics I've seen yet. However much needed fixes and changes could be as fallows

:make some aspects press and hold versus toggle, bring back our night vision goggles, fix the bugs and issues which are running out the rear end currently, use a newer and updated engine, increase the overall mission schemes to allow for both stealth, action, and mixed combat scenario's, allow for detachable weapons gadgets, limit the total number of gadgets and ammo that can be carried, have hand to hand kills mark for 2 executes instead of maxing a "bank", use shadows more realistically for vanishing, ditch LKP system, ditch the enemy taunts for a systematic chain of command and exicution AI (report in system and when someone doesn't report in because they're dead or knocked out, have their friends go looking for them), improve AI to include a larger spread and alertness in searches, re-include more dynamic game elements like lasers (may include laser trip mines, laser security alarm grid with deactivation transmitters in uniforms like Chaos Theory, occasional centralized security system, more security camera's and different security camera types), armored AI based on security alert level like in the past, more dynamic AI loadouts...

few more but they aren't on my mind as of the moment, I'll post those when I get to them, prolly start a new thread all together for that.
There's my 50 cents worth.

Neither i and i'm sure others too want to be contemptuously impertinent. It's become quite apparent that posts/comments/disscussions on here are not always at first glance easy to ditinguish from light humour to absolute dislike of Splinter Cell Conviction, and so the haters are projecting this through there comments and disscussions, and so it's not always obvious.

You need to get a reality check there Rams. It's not only disrespectful to assume the worst based on what little I said, which I maintain was obviously a joke, but rather immature as well even if it weren't a joke to insist everyone need talk about the game the way you want them to, to be seen as mature in your eyes.

I happen to like the game, that much you'd have known if someone as dedicated to it AND it's official forum as you seem to imply you are had really paid attention to the posts in the last weeks. However I also respect that some might want to criticize it or use a bit of levity regarding it's future.

And GuZZ, it's not just a lack of proper interpretation in one's post that causes such arguments. Misinterpretations in forums in general is common. What sometimes make them extreme issues are a handful of gamers that are so obsessed with certain titles they slip into a state of total immersion where they get all hissy and defensive if they think you've burst their escapism bubble in spite. At that point a shrink is far more valuable than the benefit of any recreation they get out of their games.

And Ram, judging from the way you spell and judge, no, TRY to judge people, I can imagine the real reason you think your daddy is more respectful than I is because he's spoiled you FAR too much. After all, it's clear you can't even use whatever you're chatting on the net with responsibly. Expecting people on a forum to respond to your liking, then trying to judge them if they don't, WHILE living under dad's wing is just, well, maybe you'll understand when you get older. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

okay here is the story that i think continue after SC:C :

Anna is head of 3rd E, and maybe we will see William comes back, he needs to come back, he is the man who moves by the book so i don't think he will like what happened, and i don't think he should completely focus on Sam but on Migeddo and that's mean we will play with a new splinter cell agent to gather info about that organisation, and to find out what it's all about
((William could send some agents after Sam as a 2nd obejct, but i prefer not)

-Sam, Vic and Sarah, and somewhere else, hidden and unknown to any one, they are living normal lives to the moment when assassination attempt happens, maybe try to kill Sam, or Vic or Sarah whatever, and then Sam must again use his skill (those of conviction) to find out who is responsible for that, and after using some interrogation he know that it's Mageddo, so he needs to deal with it

that's what makes sense to me, after that they may make :

Anna contact Sam to work with them, and after seeing the danger towards himself, america and those he cares about he agrees but he will do it his own way (conviction way)

so by that we will have Sam Fisher Conviction style, a new Splinter Cell Agent with CT style, and by that we will make all sides happy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

so what do you think ?!

Sam will continue his adventures, and Grim will become the new director. We are given a hint about this in End-War. I assume he will go after the guy who was pup pup petering Tom Reed. Cause remember the operation wasn’t done by him along, Oh no he is just a puppet. Sam is a threat to many people and they all want him dead. I assume the first mission would start with the base infiltration and the saving of Vic. You would use this level to get used to the new moves etc and reintroduce you once more into the great espionage world of Sam Fisher. I also think we would get to see a bit more of Sam’s relationship towards Sarah. I also wonder how his relationship with Grim will be in this one. Clearly she will become the new director in time. But hmmm…well that’s all for now.

If anyone can think up of more, you can quote me.
Till then, ta ta
