Worth the look. Might be something to compare with PF.
Never seen or played the game.

Same color for the sea: it looks like North sea or Norway fjords!!!

If it's correct for Silent Hunter, I don't think it's so good for a PACIFIC sim!

It's a UBiSoft game, wouldn't it be nice if they could get the SHIII developer together with Oleg to discuss ship's wakes?!

Wouldnt it be something to get Silent Hunter 2 and FB in the same room together. Be nice go on inti sub patrols from the air in they PBY and knowing there is someone other then a idiot AI on the other end.

That would be great... from higher altitudes they're sometimes the only way to locate ship traffic. Those wakes in SHIII look quite good.

The original Silent Hunter, set in the Pacific, was a pretty good simulation for it's day (last gasp of DOS). one thing it modeled particularly well was RADAR, which was an important and usefull tool, requiring skill and experience in it's implimentation. Haven't tried the others.

These things are evolutionary as computing power grows, the possibilities grow. Water and wakes will be important here for the overall effect, as this is more than a dogfight sim over water. Actually an ambitious project, which is why we have seen so few of them (Pacific sims).
