I just cant imagine being but so impressed with CFS2 after being exposed to this sim. Mind yoyu it was great in it's day and it still does some things better than this sim..... but aside from the available extras due to 3rd party folks.... there isnt much in CFS2 that impresses me. Yet ...here it comes again.

I bet if UBI did the platinum thing with add ons....... it would make a killing.

There are plenty of good things that come in pairs and great value combat flight sims are no exception! To celebrate the re-release of Combat Flight Simulator 2 by Xplosiv we€ve put together a great selection of double packs that combine CFS2 with some of our finest combat expansions.

Funny that you bring up CFS2 BC. Just last week our squad has opted to take a "break" from PF and go back to MS CFS2 for a while, and I gotta say compaired to PF and IL2, CFS2 ain't that bad as some people say. The sounds of Engine and guns are far superior in CFS than they are in PF. We fly full panel, no icons, no target cone, you know the drill. We do Carrier traps, and general team combat, plus we make our own scenery with air fields on many of the Islands available in the program.

take cfs2 and il2 up to pf , put them in a mixer , mix until completely combined and ...........The ultimate sim !

I would be soooo happy!!!

I'll give them credit for creative packaging to make a buck. CFS2 will always hold a warm spot for me and I can understand if folks enjoy it. But I do wonder if this effort will be worth it.

I don't know if such promozionale campaign is due to the fact that the Microsoft has become account of the space left from the UBI in this field... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
I only know that the Community of IL-2 WISHES and EXPECTS OTHER (Italian planes, Ju.88, Russian add-ons)... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif
But if the UBI'll publish IL-2Platinum Edition http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif, for the whole community of IL-2 it'll be a great day, nobody will think more to the proposals http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif than CFS, and in attended of BoB 2006 will be able to be passed flying with the new planes... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

CFS series wasn't IL-2 in all means. But it provided great times for the desktop pilots. CFS2 is remarked as the best of the series, so I can see how some people are still selling combinations and things. Even though CFS3 wasn't a great sim, it was really fun to fly, I miss those CFS days. Great times...the competitions were so fun. And great people!
