Nobody here knows their status.

They will come eventually. When, I don't know, but we'll see them someday.

I want to see how's the progress on the Ju-88 is going. Maddox said his team has finally started work on it themselves, and I wonder if he has got a cockpit started.

Well, it seems I viewed the German version of this site and it seems they have development updates of the JU-88. What it is up with that?

The facts are that we are getting at the very least one flyable Ju 88 variant out of the 7 variants that were made by Jippo/Dietger/Hammerd/falkster - Apparently, the Ju 88A-4 "late". Latest rumors has it that we may get another 1 or 2 more variants, my guess being the easiest variants to model from the Ju 88A-4 "late" we apparently getting; hence the Ju 88A-4 "early" which mostly differs with an extra MG15 in the front windshield and dive brakes, and Ju 88A-14, which had nose flex mount 20mm MG/FF. You can also bet on a either a torpedo loadout for A-4 "late" or perhaps more correct A-4 "torp".

The fact that Maddox has decided on the A-4 "late" and it is to be logically assumed that if more variants are made available, Maddox/1C will concentrate on the variants that require the least amount of effort/work to model from the A-4 "late", hence the A-4 "early", A-14 and perhaps A-4 "torp"

The rest.....Ju 88A-13, A-17 (dedicated torpedo variant), C-6a & C-6a "Field Mod" are all unfortunately unlikely at this point in time. I just wish they would have made a flyable C-6a available though.....

Worst case scenario, I wished they would make the variants that they cannot be made flyable at least into AI.

As far as when, perhaps 4.02 patch or perhaps the rumored "pay add-on"....August has been seen on some forums as a possible release date for flyable Ju 88 through a patch, although with the usual "2 weeks" delay, I expect to see it late september or october......

Man I would pay another $50 to have all the above listed aircraft. Espacially flyable.

Well, I only know the situation of Fokker D.XXI. Externals are delivered (5 versions) and D.XXI should be least AI in next add-on.

I have been modeling the pit since beginning of this month. I have been in contact with Oleg and Saqson and they both said then there is still a change that the will make it to the add-on as well (if I'm fast).

This is the currecnt state of the pit. I'll model most of the stuff in hi-poly and prerender them into flat planes. Much like in I-185 and J8 pits. Please iqnore bad light and material setup. They are not final.

The pit is only for Finnish Sarja 3 version.

He he...this is the problem. You would pay as all of us...but you can't...at least now.

We need a solution for the "Russian Market" problem....and i'm not talking about the Pe-2 addon.

I think I have enough time. I have made good progress thanks to Hurri-Khan and Serval. They have done textures and I have focused on modeling. I have only spent about 20 days for this pit so far and I think that I need about month do finish it. Maybe less.

I could use some modeling help. Somebody could model various hi-poly objects that are prerendered (approximately 7 or 8 objects needs to be done). Also could Capitaine Haddock contact me. I would like to know how you did all the prerendering and baking in Max. My little brother has promised to do this part in Maya, but he is quite busy with other modeling work. So just in case, I want to learn how to do it.

Absolutely excellent stuff Viikate!!!

Pity we wont have the Danish version with the 20mm Madsen cannons flyable, but, like Orheim says, if you get this done, you will be a hero!! *que "I need a hero" song*

Well you have certainly bring big smile to my face after I saw the Fokker WiP pictures that you have posted.

Cockpit seems very very nice finished, it would be probably one of the best in game so far.

I have never thought of possibility that D.XXI can be flyable.. madness .. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

The Danish D.XXIs did not see combat- Denmark was quickly overrun and they may not even have had an opportunity to take off. But the Finnish and Dutch D.XXIs most certainly DID see combat! Unfortunately the ammunition for the Dutch D.XXIs ran out after only three days of combat- a result of pre-war stinginess........ Curiously, no attempts were made to fly the survivors across the North Sea to the U.K. The aeroplanes themselves would not have been worth much, but the pilots would have been invaluable in the months to come.

I don't care if they didn't see combat; they will have the 20mm Madsen cannons in game (Madsen is incidentally my family name - would be interesting if I were related to the manufacturers), they will have Danish markings or at least a default skin with Danish markings (I am originally Danish), and taking both of these factors into account, it would have been nice to have this version flyable!!

But anyway, even as AI, these would be great aircraft to have in the game. As Orheim says: more cr@p planes!!
