I was thinking, obviously Assassin's Creed is going to become a franchise, but how will the names be transmitted from game to game?

Personally, I think it'll be like what Advent Rising would've been with Advent Rising, Advent Shadow and etc.

P.S.: Notice that each second word of the title has the same amount of letters.

Ideas:
1. Assassin's Creed
2. Assassin's Truth
3. Assassin's Glory

I like that idea, but i think they might be called Assassins Creed I, Assassins Creed II and so one, i'd emagine it like the God Of War game names, just one big story and no sub title or whaterver, nice names tho http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Plenty of potential for the series, if indeed what I've read is true (Your a modern day descendant looking back) clearly their is a family tree, can set it in different Medieval periods and further on. There are plenty of interesting periods in Medieval history, Hundred Year's War, the Holy Roman Empire as an assassin for one "kingdom" trying to get an upper hand on another. Of course you can always have the **** Turpin style character although rather than being a highwayman you save people from the Guillotine in Revolutionary France, not an entirely original idea but workable as a same type of game.

Plenty of potential, I think the title really will depend on the setting.

I don't know if it's about time to get into that. I mean, the problem here is that this will probably be the only game with Altair in it, and so the Hashashin would only play one 3rd of the entire part, the way I see it.

The second part of the game, I can't really say...but if the 3rd isn't set in the future, I'm curious as to whether it may take place during the Cold War.

The title "Assassin's Creed" is already being used because "Assassin's Creed" is, obviously, the first game in the franchise, so why list "Assassin's Creed" as one of yoor ideas for a "Future Franchise Title Names?"

Obviously, "Assassin's Creed" will be a trilogy so the second and third game titles will be as follows:

"Assassin's Creed: (Subtitle)."
"Assassin's Creed: (Subtitle)."

Another possibility would be that you won't be an assassin every time. ie. Thief's Creed, Soldier's Creed etc.

Though it is more likely that you'll be an assassin.

those titles sound cool. But I think it'll just go as 1, 2 and 3. And I really don't want the type of gameplay or character to change, I want three full games of Altair and or Assassin's of the Middle Ages. Guns are just not my style, I'd rather slice http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Yes, as terminal said, a creed is bascially the overall accepted beliefs within a group, the christians are a great example...
Though they may not agree on all points, you can safely say that they agree on most of whats written in the bible, therefor the bible is the christians' creed.

The assassin's creed is therefor the commonly accepted beliefs of the assassins...
