Dear Designers:
because lots 1944 planes appears in 1946 and latest version like la7/ki84/fw190a9/fw190d9, f4u1 which is mass products from 1941 is not enought to against them. hopefully, could you add f4u4 in 4.09. i think f4u1 might share lots feathers. and it is not hard job.
i hope you can consider about it.

The question is neither new nor inadequate - but the answer is a resounding "Not a snowball's chance in Hell", I'm afraid.

a) The development for Il-2 has basically finished. A few last aircraft may come with 4.09m, but those haveb een finished for more than a year. Completely new stuff is out of question. Big hurdle.

b) There's been an "incident" with Grumman about trademark stuff. Giant, towering and completely impregnable hurdle.

it seems lots of people require -4 model for a long time.
so, my question should be changed to:
1, why you can not add -4 in pf
2, will you add it to BOB ?

Why should it be added to Battle of Britain, unless it fought there initially, which it never, I doubt it'll make an apperance.

Plus you seemingly ignored csThors post about the infamous copyright stuff that came with PF, so chances are pretty much next to none.

and it looks like that even because of the "Grumman" affair it is not clear so far that products, of them Grumman holds the rights nowadays, will be able to show up in RRG's Korea War project !!

Korea without Corsairs and Panthers......... imagine http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

about late War Allied planes...... the best (without too much work i guess) would be to ad a Tempest with 11lb boost and to change the P-51D-20NA FM to a boost , comparable to the ingame Mustang Mk.III. the P-51D-5NT could so still represent earlier bubble-top Mustangs with its actual FM.

but those wishes are also not new, and not highly expected that they will happen http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The F4U-4 is not going to be added to the IL2 series, we've begged since Pacific Fighters was introduced (we've also begged for a Solomon Islands map), we haven't gotten it by patch 4.08 and with development energies focused on Storm of War, we aren't going to get it now. So far, we have not been promised a Pacific add on for SoW, so we might not get it there either. As for the RRG project, we haven't seen any screen shots or heard anything that would indicate F4U-4's there either, it might just be a USAF vs North Korea sim.

I believe there is something going to the US Government or through it at the moment, a Bill? stating that if a company has produced the Aircraft for the US Military past or present then they have no rights to attempt to claim royalties of the said items, be it guns, vehicles, ships or aircraft.....

This is supposed to eventually stop companies such as model ones paying extortionate fees to these companies for what was a Government funded project and develeopment and as such a product owned by the people........ so one day we may see these things http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess it's been a year since that bill was introduced, I don't recall what happened to it.

I think it's still in Armed Services Commitee limbo.

And there it will likely die. That should have been a slam dunk, unless a bunch of our worthless senators decided to attach a bunch of spending amendments to it, which they probably did. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
