Am i missing some graphics tweak or does Pacific Fights still utilise those awful trees from FB that look 2 dimensional / flat when ever you are near tree top level or looking from the ground? I have forest set to 3 in the config and all other setting as high as will go. Using an X800 pro as well.

You're not missing a graphics tweak. The same layered patterns are used for the larger forested areas (think of trying to represent that same amount of area with individual trees!). I trust you're also seeing the more realistic 3-D trees scatterd about?

How I loath the pancake trees http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif. Often times they are far more dangerous than the game's Ai.

Thanks for that, although I was kind of hoping there was something i could do to improve on them. I still belive it is pssible to render them all in proper 3D, CFS3 does if i recall.

I'm usually too darn busy lookin out for bandits to be looking down at the trees. LOL

But I do have to watch out when I get down low. Those "pancake" forest seem to dissapear when ya get at the right angle. Have clipped a few tree tops a time or tow because I didn't see them.

If you're set to trees=3 then there should be a good ring of those bitmap/animated trees around most forested areas. Enough to warn you that you may be able to run into something dangerous http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
