I just know I'm going to like this game for its special moments, even if parts of it could be better. That being said, bad reviews and negative comments will probably make me enjoy this gem all the more.

Its like, wow its gonna suck ***, then you'll get it and be pleased with the things it did right.

I can't wait to get my hands on it!!

I like Cult Classics, myself...

Technically speaking, ratings of 7 or 3 1/2 'Stars' aren't really "bad" reviews. They're average reviews.

The reviews I read are stupid, they bring up topics, that where discussed and proven to be a benerfit in the game, from 2-6months ago. Gametrailers review sucked, because of their comment about the gaurds AI - just shows how much they have researched http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Anyway I know Im going to be happy with the game.

Dude, just think. All of the gameplay aspects we have seen. How bad could this game ever GET? I mean if the fights were dull and monotonous, the missions similar, the crowd AI nothing special, you still have 3 HUGE cities to explore and to play around with! At least for my liking, it's more than I need from a game. I think that even if AC didn't have any missions, only collectibles, I would spent enormous amounts of time exploring and freerunning, and killing stuff.

The only negative aspect i took from GT review was the guard AI. You cant ignore the kill IN FRONT OF ANOTHER GUARD WHO WAS LOOKING IN YOUR DIRECTION and then watch as said guard saunters over and moans about how terrible it is his friend is dead and he will have to find the killer.

Pantomime moment......HE IS BEHIND YOU!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Other than that i am happy with the GT review and i generally trust them second only to IGN.

I like my cult classics too, but dont be fooled by these fake reviews. The internet has made disinformation a very cheap tool which publishers use against each other.

Well there's a really simple solution to that problem, after you stab a guard, dont immediately press the blend button like they did to display how stupid the ai is. I'm only going to use the blend button when i need to get past some gates.

So i have to compensate for devs failures. The blend button is a great idea but it should have been programmed to ONLY be efficient in crowds of say 3 or more people.

IGN just called the game "One of the five biggest disappointments" for a game of this magnitude - Hilary Goldstein.

What amazes me is that I've read about how people are already transferring their pre-order money to other games. Give the game a chance and don't be sheep!

Well it's a duct tape solution but it is a solution nonetheless. I've been doing these things in games for years to avoid abusing features which make the game too easy.

It helps you immerse yourself better and ramps up the difficulty, it would be nice if games were perfect but...

I never let a review decide wiether I will buy a game or not. I also usually get my moneys worth with games because even when I get bored with them I'll put them away for awhile and eventually will pick them back up again. The IGN reviewer was way to harsh, and he didn't at all like the story. Thats his opinion though.

It sounds like IGN is reviewing the game and holding it against it's hype.

So...if the game didn't get hyped, it'd probably be an 8 or a 7 from them, but because of the hype...they lowered the score.

Atleast, in a statment like "biggest disappointments for a game of this magnitude" it sounds like they are. Little unfair, actually.

Hype can be a double edged sword and in some cases make or break a game. The more hyped up a game is, the higher the expectations people will have. I will love Assassin's Creed but its not a juggernaught like Halo 3 so I think in the long run hype might hurt the game. Myself personally, I picked up Halo 3 and played it for 3 weeks, got bored, it collects dust now.
