I don't think the makers of this promotional film for Russian small arms realised how funny the result is.

Did the hire Borat to do the commentary? Did they use Babelfish for translation? I especially like the sophisticated environmental testing and live fire exercise shown at the end....

The AN-94 with the sliding barrel and the high rate of fire for the initial two rounds seem interesting though.

Their Saiga line is slowly gaining customers in America. The semi-automatic shotguns sell particularly well, as there is no similar domestic shotgun. Unfortunately a new importer took over last year and raised the prices quite a bit.

Funny story: The new importer's first batch of shotguns came with barrels that were too short to meet the U.S. minimum legal length (18"). They had to spot-weld extenders on them. And they did not catch this mistake until quite a few Saiga-12s were already sold.
