I know that german fighters had a radar warning called "naxos" against allied radar and in FB i cant use anyone.
Could we use it in any other new patch???
Or other mod?????

The only way to do it is to enable aircraft icons in the map.

Well that does simulate it, I guess...

Schmitt- radar is not modelled in this sim, so a warning device that alerts you of radar...is not modelled either http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The only thin we have concerning radar is a static object that represents a chain home 'low' type of radar, and it's just a 3D object; it does nothing

I heard about a radar warning device on subs but the allies detected subs using it.
The H111 got an automatic bombing device but this isnt in this game either.

Almost right

The Germans were unaware of the British creation of the cavity magnotron and subsequent development of centimetric radar. Nonetheless they were perplexed by the Allied aircraft's ability to hunt down U-boats at sea - even at night and when schnorkling. On questioning a captured RAF airman about this, they were fed misinformation by the sneaky chap! He told them that the Allies had developed equipment which enabled them to home in on emissions from the German Metox radar warning reciever fitted to the subs. Upon testing the device, the Germans discovered that it actually DID produce detectable emissions (from the oscillator perhaps? I don't know - not an electrical engineer) - and thus the Allies secret radar remained a secret!

At least, that's the story http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

AN/APS-13 Tail warning radar was apparently used in P-38L, P-47D, P-51, P-61, P-63, P-82D, PBJ.

I love RADAR! I wanted RADAR in this game so bad I could taste it.

I WANT RADAR IN BOB If it is not there I will likely not buy it.

Tailwarning radar keeps coming up again and again by people who want it in the sim and think that it will save their bottom. It won't!! (Use the mirror if you want tail warning RADAR).

During the war tail warning radar was effectively valueless for a variety of reasons.

NO! Really! I am on the fence about BOB for a variety of reasons. I have been VERY consistant about this. Search my posts. In order for BOB to be any good it has to have RADAR to model the battle properly. If Oleg makes a flyable Blenheim, well there was a version that was the first operational plane to mount an AI radar. Would be nice! Think of the updates/add ons - Beaufighter, Mosquito. Yum!

thats exactly what i was thinking of!...too bad it's not modeled, although i've also read that it was a major pain in the a$$ for the pilots as it tended to go off whenever a friendly AC crossed your 6.

Regardless, the early AI radar had its quirks and problems. I assume of course that you want it modelled realistic http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif if it becomes available at all:

"The progress of AI radar is vividly described by Rowe(3). By the summer of 1940, AI Mk. III was operational in Blenheim aircraft. Its maximum range was about 3km, and its minimum range about 250 m, any closer range being obscured by the recovery time of the receiver after the transmitter pulse. The set was also liable to 'squint', that is, to give a false indication of the position of the target relative to the centre-line of the fighter. Moreover, the Blenheim was too slow to overtake its target easily: one pilot flying a Blenheim chased a Dornier bomber for 80km, followed it over the sea to make his attack and landed at his base with empty fuel tanks(4). By the end of October, 1940, only one bomber had been shot down using AI."
