It occured to me that there should be more high altitude online play. Start at 7500m and then Fw190s become fearsome, P-47 preformance improves, thin air, high speeds, and vapour trials!

iv had the P-47 at 6500m in a Dog fight. This was a coop though. I didn't notice any difference flying at 6500m or 3000m. They way I look at it is, either some plane's are offer modelled or the P-47 is under modelled or is close to wat it should be.
Here's one, I have been fling the La5 for the last week and today i was in a dog fight with a BF109. Guess what, He was out terning me. Yup go figure. I was using 25% fule to.

Silent out....

I just hosted that exact thing for a bunch of people in HL last night. The P-47 is a whole different plane at high alt and 40% mix.

I was fighting at 6500m 40%mix and was being out manuverd. The only thing you can do with it is BnZ. It dosent matter what Alt, The P-47 is a crappy plane in FB.
In real live; iv been told, tha the 47 could hange in a dogfight. In the the game, you cant dogfight with it.

My understanding of the P-47 was that it was never meant to be a true dogfighter say like the P-51 or Spitfire. It was initially rolled out to help inferior Allied armor deal with superior German tanks. Used in a combined arms approach, the P-47 truly shines. stubby

What would be nice is being able to set the airstart altitude - limiting it to 1000m doesn't do much good.
