You just cannot go wrong with this company,

Ok, as some of you are aware I bought 3 sticks sight unseen and untested.

One of the was an X52 and when trying it it would not move on the lateral axis very well...........

I took the bottom off and decided it was one of the hall effect sensors that was shot, so I emailed Saitek with the part number off it stating it was broken and could I buy another one..

I reiterated after they said it had a 2 year warranty that the item was secondhand so was probably out of warranty, I was passed onto Saitek's technical support and the last email asked me to call one of the staff.

This I did today, again pointing out it would be out of warranty, secondhand etc and that I had proved the fault was the sensor by swopping the sensors over so the snag transferred...........

Up shot of this converstation..........

They are sending me a new sensor out and have given me instructions on exactly how to set the replacement up so the stick calibrates itself centrally..........

SUPERB SERVICE AND NO CHARGE FOR A SECONDHAND STICK OUT OF WARRANTY

They have me as a loyal customer now, this is the second stick they have bent over backwards to fix for me, one being my original X45..

I think Saitek is great man. I know there are sturdier sticks.. but IMO even at full retail you cant beat Saitek for bang for buck. If they came out with a decent FFB HOTAS and maybe a little FFB on the pedals... they would be untouchable. BTW... the pedals are PDG too...

I e-mailed Saitek begging for a ffb X-52 setup. The reply? No plans... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

Yeah rgr that... I did the same. I have owned 3 X-45s..... one is still in my closet unopened.... one is on my desk... and one I kinda went Frankenstien on... it was actually the first attempt at the current modified X-45 I now use.. (which is my original one...)

I got this one on sale at Best Buy for $49 in 02 when FB came out.... and it hasn't skipped a beat yet.

You want to hear something funny? When I first started simming I looked at the X-45.. and I said.... "PffTTT! $79 for a joystick!!?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif Not here... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/disagree.gif " So I promptly bought my Wingman attack 2... it didnt even have a rudder... LOL... needless to say I have gone waaaaayyy over $79 on sticks, upgrades... pedals the whole nine since...LMAO...

My only complaint. and onlt one.
That damn BAR arcos the fron of thier damn sticks on the x52/45. I tried to mod miy X-45 and just delete the useless peaice of plastic all togeather. now the stick no worky so good no more duuuhu. lol

Look i have very big hands. and i need these big hands to handle ;-) BIG THINGS. I cant just cut them off. the bar is just a anyoing and the stick on the x45 just doesnt fit my MAN HANDS right.

I So i just keep on replacing my Wingman FFB every year when it blows a gasket and use the x-45 throttle.
