There I was, riding around, minding my own business when BAM! Alert status. Like I care? Right? Anyway, spotted a flag I didn't have yet, stopped to get it, did a little fighting, and then noticed all of...them

wtf mate? Seriously, wtf?

Although, this brings up a relevant question to mind...
How far can you go before your horse disappears?

Bobfish_Almight

You mean, how many horses on screen? And whilst we're on the subject of horses, Lady Z closed my horse thread http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

ScytheOfGrim

Good.
Waste of space... >_>

No, how far away can you go before your horse disappears.

As in, you leave your horse near... a tower... go to the other side of the map, then come back...

I think that if that's the last horse you rode it doesn't disappear, but what if it was one that you rode, but switched to another later on?
How far could you go before that one disappears?

Bobfish_Almight

The horse starts to follow you after you get about ten or fifteen steps away

ScytheOfGrim

*headdesk*

Forget it...
You aren't getting what I'm trying to say... >_>

Bobfish_Almight
05-13-2008, 03:50 AM
No, I understand. But I think even if you switch horse the first one will follow you around

ScytheOfGrim
05-13-2008, 03:52 AM
No, it won't.

Bobfish_Almight
05-13-2008, 03:54 AM
I thought it did. Meh, inb that case I don't know. Sorry

altairego
05-13-2008, 04:31 AM
it is just me or do horses like altair? they always help him during the fight. maybe, bob, those horses came by just in case he needed help kicking the guards.

Bobfish_Almight
05-13-2008, 04:33 AM
Yeah, could be. They did kick out a few times. I still think the best one is when my horse kicked me in the head as I was counter-killing a guard. That was hilarious

altairego
05-13-2008, 05:06 AM
that never happened to me.
maybe cause they know i like horses http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

Bobfish_Almight
05-13-2008, 05:08 AM
I want to see a guard kicked to death, but it hasn't happened yet. And I saw one guy kicked more than fifteen times. He was trapped against a wall so my horse just kept kicking and kicking

altairego
05-13-2008, 05:14 AM
15 times?
ideally one kick from a hoof leaves you dead or paralysed. that's one tough guard i wanna kill.

Bobfish_Almight
05-13-2008, 05:15 AM
Yeah, and then I threw him against a wall once and he was dead. wtf is that all about?

altairego
05-13-2008, 07:38 AM
the horse softened him up for you -- give horse some thanks and some oats ok? be nice to him. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I like horses, they rule. I managed to knock someone over, and then rear the horse so that her front legs landed square on his chest, but that was a civilian. And he still didn't die. Maybe these are the weakest horses in the universe? With hooves made of bread rolls?

I've had my horses disappear when I didn't go more than 10 feet away, and I've had one linger following me over a mile. It's a little weird like that.

Dumbest way I've had a horse disappear is I climbed that tall, tall pillar in the ruins in the Kingdom, I think on the way to Acre from Jerusalem. When I came back down, the horse was nowhere to be found.

Never did figure out how to grab that flag on the high pillar, either.

Ah, funny that you would answer my question...
Nice to know that someone understood what I meant. ^_^

Yes, that flag is a bugger... >_>

Bobfish_Almight

I answered your question the only way I know how Scythe, based on my experiences. I've never had a horse vanish apart from when I've died (which has happened twice in the Kingdom) and on the one occasion when I actually changed my horse the other one still followed me. I'm sorry if that's not good enough but it's the best I can ruddy well do http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

You didn't even understand my question... >_>

HannahIsMyName

my horse always follows me. its a loyal horsey, i always choose the brown ones, the white ones don't follow me

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 06:47 AM
I used to choose the white one, it just seemed to make sense with Alta´r being all in white. But now I ride the night mare because of the dichotomy. And I fully understood your question Mister Scythe, I just didn't answer the way you wouldn't to because, as I've said about four times now, that was the only answer I could give based on what I have done in game

After having to explain it twice? >_>

And your "answer" was useless because you had never payed attention...
So telling me that you did answer the question but obviously not "good enough"...

I don't see why you needed to "whine" (for lack of a better word) about it...

Bobfish_Almight

Dude, wtf are you talking about?

BlairCullen02

All those horses are supposed to be there, a few guards too.

I always choose the brown one, I call him Snowball. And if I ride the white one I call him Chocolate. If I ride the black one, I call it Green.

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 08:54 AM
What do you mean they're supposed to be there? I've not seen them gather like that before or since that one occasion

BlairCullen02
05-17-2008, 09:01 AM
Well in Kingdom there are certain places where they gather, usually around those wooden structures beside a View Point.

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 09:03 AM
Really? Like I said I've never noticed it before. But I usually gallop straight past. I'll have to stop and look more often. Thanks for that

I thought that it was usually only a horse or two, not as many as bob's horse haven.

The most I've seen other than that is the three waiting outside Masyaf

Nope, I have definitely encountered that many before.

Cool, I really must keep my eyes peeled in the future then. Perhaps when I can finally be arsed hunting down all the Kingdom flags

altairego
05-17-2008, 02:11 PM
sometimes i notice that the horse i ride into masyaf is not the same i rode through teh kingdom -- anyone know why that happens?

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 02:13 PM
Because the coding is weird. It has a habit of remembering whichever horse you rode out of Masyaf even if you change afterwards

altairego
05-17-2008, 02:38 PM
i guess i'll just assume he changed horses for some reason. funny though, it happens for other places too.

I still want to see the broken backed horse glitch. I want to make a video with it

altairego

how'd you break the horse's back? push him or something?

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 02:44 PM
I don't know, but those YouTube videos are seriously le funny
