so I came across this picture, of the romulus armor... i've seen it before in a youtube video were gabe is unwrapping the collector's edition and is showing the images inside the book.... maybe this is the reward we get for clearing all those romulus lairs

He says the book is comprised of concept art.
He also says the these are different concept art for Ezio.

Maybe and maybe not..

Can Ezio even bend his hands together in this suit? There's so much steel between his armpits and arms...
And all those furs will probably kill him during hot summers...
I don't like armour. I prefer Ezio to wear underwear only througough the entire game :P

Besides, he'd certainly drown if he'd jump into water while wearing that armour...

Well in my thread which has the armor, someone posted a link to gamespot or ign or some site that's preparing their guides to ACB, and one of them was titled "How to receive Romulus Armor." So, I think that is basically confirmed almost huh?

comatose_ric

isnt it roman , so most of it should be like leather so not that hot... or heavy... or protecting?

It's definetly a Roman armour, the eagles are the symbol of the Roman army( time of caesar)...so ya I guess it's Romulus his armour. Thus an assassin's armour http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Where is the "beak" on the hood? Don't all assassins (at least Desmond's direct ancestors) have that?

I believe it's a spin-off. You know, Ezio saves some guy's sorry butt, and the guy goes home and decides to copy-cat Ezio. Kind of like the batman copy-cats in the Dark Kight.

Or Cesare manages to corrupt an assassin
(sacrilege, I know, but possible:Al Mualim), and he changes his outfit.

This COULD be a brute armour for ezio...

Only running, no sprinting...
Very protective???

Eh, I'm not really that fond of it. Looks like Ezio went shopping at a boutique and bought a big, fluffy fur coat. I'm not fond of the maroon red either.

I do like the designs on the armor though.

They really need to design assassin robes based off of eagles already. Feathers, etc. It would be more fitting than bulky wolf fur.

Somehow I believe this is ACB's answer to Altair's Armor. It's fancy armor we get for completing appropriately themed tombs and crypts. It's obviously based off the Romulus cult. The wolf fur makes it obvious.

Is anyone else slightly disappointed? I don't know, I just don't really like it's bulkiness. Then again, I hated Altair's armor forever until I realized 2 months ago that those black long robes better fit an Assassin at his journey's end, showing the amount of skill and wisdom he acquired.

Then in ACB, he gets his new, clean white long robes. Not as intricate as his original garments, giving a since of simplicity and grace, it shows his wisdom has reached new heights.

But this.. he gives off the aura of some brutish monster. Meh. Doesn't fit for me.

I don't mind this armor - but it is when something unrelated gets shoehorned in... i speak of RAIDEN!!! I'll unlock it but will probably never use it. I don't mind that PoP & PoP: SoT used Altair and Ezio skins (free running/ Ubisoft ties)... but Raiden seems a bit forced.
"Ooh VR traning - Raiden as a reward fits"

Considering that the Romulus armour is from the Roman era (i.e. 2000ish years ago) I'm glad it isn't a shiny pretty thing as it gives authenticity to it being a relic. Personal opinion of course.

Guys you do know that armor of altair has ben confirmed to just be a skin. The armor stats are going to be the one you're wearing. Which in some way isn't bad as this looks compltely unbreakable altair armor style and therefore you can equip this and wear the armor of altair skin

Hm....with that animal fur, he 'kinda' looks like King Greyskull (but with the hood and full body suit as well as the armor), ok, you'd have to stretch the imagination a bit i'd guess.

I'm still debating wheather or not i'll try to get it, I only got Altiar's armour really for 100% sync AND because it just looks so cool. It's a shame you can't dye his clothes black.

If I HAVE to get the armour, i'll do my best to try and get it, but if i can't complete the shrines (I needed help on the last two tombs in venice), then i won't bother.

That armo seems more like a spectacle than something to actually, like it's cool to look at...but why would you wear something that bulky? I only wore the Armor of Altair for the final mission because i didn't want it to go to waist while collecting dust.

This makes me worried for when Desmond starts to actually do real missions. They might give the man a suit that's to buly and out there.

Even Ezio;s original robes in ACB look to formal and long. I know the eagle thing is important, but come on, we have to imitate the tail feathers to?

I liked the outfit Ezio wears when he gets out of bed to defend the Villa. The clothese look cool and the eyes are more haevily drawn to the hidden blade and bracer.

I don't see why people don't like it. It just looks bulky because of the wolf pelt and the red scheme, but the Drachen armor looks like a tank in comparison. Personally I love it and will definitely wear it, at least until I unlock Noble attire =D

To each their own, but I enjoy it for its authenticity. Really looks like ancient armor and it fits in well with the overall art design of the game (as you can see in the screenshots). I'm not big on the whole pure-white thing: while it looks awesome and what-not after 20 hours of gameplay (maybe more with sidemissions) the look will start to get boring. At least I was never bored of looking at Altair's armor and I doubt I will bore myself with this.

when i first looked at the Armour i knew it was for ezio because of the hidden blades and the assassins symbol, but i just don't think this suits ezio, it just doesn't seem like something an assassin wears especially with the wolf skin :/

I mean come the on. After all the of going through each and every Romulus temple- and for THIS?! BULL. Ezio Looks like a football player with a dead dog tied around his neck. I mean, I really really loved the altair armor from the last game. It was fitting- as in, it was what I would have pictured you to earn given the setting and circumstances surrounding it. It was all you could have wanted from it- it was a mix of Italian- extravagence, pomp, and Assassin- stealthy, deadly. It was perfect. The romulus armor however- its like what a five year old would have envisioned as 'cool'. Oh yea! Make him super huge, and have like- like- cool wolf fur! Yea! Cool!. That. I wish I could say it came from nowhere, if only because where it came from was already so terrible. It could not have been any better because the theme surrounding it was so jumbled, convaluted, and full of unnecessary and tasteless that it couldn't have been any good. I mean, the story surrounding Altairs armor- fine. It fit. The worlds greatest assassins up to that point in time were all buried in secret tombs in Italy. Makes sense. They each had a key in their tomb that could be used with the others to open the final treasure of the worlds greatest assassin, Altair. Makes sense, and is cool. This armor was crafted by Altair using the apple (interlocks with a part of the main story that we are following, VERY COOL), and was hidden beneath the Villa Auditore by Altairs eventual ancestor. Links up, makes sense, and is intricate, while not overly twisted up. It is a cool mini story to follow, and is fun to follow. The romulus lairs on the other hand- STUPID. JUST. PLAIN. Something about how the church is using a secret army of guys who dress up like barbarians, or wolves, or dogs, or some ol bull, and are doing this to spread fear into the civilians. Their main treasures are hidden in their secret lairs. Their main treasures are keys to vault containing UNBREAKABLE ARMOR AND THE MOST DEADLY KNIFE IN THE WORLD. And Ceasere, who knew about an enormous underground army, apparently decided to just leave them to whatever the hell they wanted to do as long as they freaked people out. BULL. The church part is also BULL. And the Brutus part- So cool, but so out of place! JUST BULL! Every single thing about it all was just ridiculous. Whey could have done so much better. Such wasted potential. AND SUCH A WASTE OF MY TIME.
