I'm hoping some of the pits that were left out at the last minute were B-25 pits, and we will get those in the patch. At least the G model wiv the 75mm gun. Surely Oleg can't deny us such a wonderful piece of destructive hardware???

There was an issue with references for the B-25G/H cockpits awhile back, not sure if that was entirely solved.

But given the simplied ship DMs and the historical failure of these aircraft, I don't think their inclusion is particularly important.

I'd much rather have a solid-nose B-25J (which would require no additional cockpit work) and the B-25C.

Hello Guys,

I have been wanting the B-25J-32 ever since I read they Mitchell was going to be flyable. The J-32 was the varient that had the 8 .50 calibers in the nose. It also had the 4 .50 calibers on the fuselage sides. I think it would be an excellent addition, expecially for the Pacific Theater. The 499th Bomb Squadron (Medium),345th Bomb Group opperated this aircraft. They were known as the "Bats Outa Hell". They attack Japanese over Kyushu and the Sea Of Japan. I'd much rather have the J-32 over the varient with the 75mm cannon. Does anyone have cockpit photos for the J-32? Maybe we can get it done! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif =S=

quote:
Combat sorties confirmed that the cannon-armed B-25H offered no particular advantage over specially-adapted strafers armed exclusively with machine guns. At this stage in the war, targets specifically suited for cannon attack were relatively few and far between, and many targets that were vulnerable to the cannon were also vulnerable to a battery of 0.50-inch machine guns or to bombs. Consequently, the use of the heavy cannon was generally abandoned in the South-West Pacific by August of 1944.

No, that's the bit where Japanese crew caught the low velocity 75mm shells in baseball mits and threw them back at the white devil bombers...
