Those of you familiar with Bill Wolf (author of Victory Roll, USAAF Jabos, etc) may want to check out his latest:

http://www.aeroplanebooks.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.as...ory=&idproduct=47905 (http://www.aeroplanebooks.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=&idproduct=47905)

I personally talked to Bill Wolf about this book. He lamented to me all the problems he had with Boeing using their photos and resources. Looks like he fianlly overcame his problems and got the darned thing published.

Looks like a good one.

Skydude, I was interested in the fact that the guy had problems with Boeing. If problems of copyrights are keeping us from getting flyable B-17's and B-29's, I'd be ready to cause the Boeing people a great deal of political greif. So please explain a bit more as to the problems this dude ran into with Boeing.

It wasn't their cooperation, or an unwillingness to let him use their images and information, it was their asking price. He complained to me that Boeing asked for as much as $50 for EACH photo of the B-29. This was many times the normal asking price and it put a hardship on him with respect to finishing the book.

I could imagine so! I wish that it wasn't taboo to speak of the copyright issues as it relates to this game. I've been told to shut my face on this subject by both Oleg and the mods around here. They refuse to explain why. I just think that if we knew the facts of the matter, we could pressure the Corporate types in the U.S. to lighten up on Oleg. My desire to discuss the issue is NOT to try and cause trouble, but is to try and get some very big holes in the game filled, that's all.

By the way, apparently YoMommaBinladen is according to the mods around here, a terrorist, and as a result, that account has been suspended because they don't allow terrorists (apparently of YoMomma type) to post in this forum.
