Ok, all you career whiners...
I've been looking over this message board for some time now. Seen a LOT of people b*tch*ng about how bad FB is, or how many bloody bugs it has...BOO FRICKETY HOO! Oleg, FB is great. It, like almost EVERY game out there, has some unforseen bugs that I have the utmost confidence that you and your team will fix. What a lot of people don't seem to remember is that it takes time. Creating a flawless virtual reality takes time.

The way it works, a game program is created, it's tested, it's tweaked, it's tested and tweaked some more. Then, when all seems good, it's released. Guess what? Some bugs are found. They're fixed. BE PATIENT. Instead of concentrating on how many problems there are, concentrate on what is good about the game. It is a great game, the realism is outstanding. I've had my share of problems with it, but you know what? The fun and "escapism" I get massively out weigh the "bugs". Oleg, I would like to shake your hand some day. What you've created is a gem, and I don't care what the whiners say, keep up the GREAT work. I salute you sir! SALUTE! ---Hammer /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

"Hammer" time!

Yes but some people call any constructive criticism "whining". I have a feeling you'd consider any criticism whining. But how would a game developer know what bugs or deficiencies really "bug" people unless they point it out in some post in the first place??? I've been in forums for many different games in my time. Probably more than you, and I've seen many games improved immeasurably by what you are no doubt referring to as whining. People simply seem to think that constructive criticism is whining. You point out that in due time, that these bugs and deficiencies will be fixed. But guarantee you many would never get fixed unless people complained about them.
They can't fix something if it isn't made know to them.
I read all the so called whining posts and many have a point. Only thing that is not necessary is for some people to constantly to reiterate the same bugs over and over again. Other than that, let them whine. You don't have to read any post if you don't want to. So don't whine about their whining.

A bug only needs to be reported once. After that, it's whining.

Geez Mortoma, start drinking decaf! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif All I was attempting to say was that in MANY posts, people tend to slam Oleg, like he is supposed to be perfect and put out a perfect product the first time. I'm not saying no one should bring forth the issues, I in fact have reported bugs. BUT, when the same people post things like "...FB SUCKS...", or "...I LOVE IL2 but think FB should be shelved". THESE are the types of messages I'm talking about. I'm not "whining about whiners", and if you took it as an attack on you than you as someone who reports bugs, than you took it the wrong way. Too often, people post without giving proper respect to the guy who brought us all here. That's all I have to say and if you want to take it further, then meet me in the air! I host Hammer's Flying Circus (shameless plug). Just meet me there pal. I'll show you what for! Oh yea, it'll take you at LEAST 15 seconds to realize (just how easy it is to shoot me down! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ) ---Hammer
