My NVIDIA 6800 and mointor both support DVI, but for some reason I am using the VGA connection. Is it worth switching to the DVI connection? I have the cable, but the ends don't fit through the holes in by desk top. I just want to make sure its worth drilling bigger holes.

When I switched I noticed the colors seemed to be a tad bit better. Other than that not a huge difference.

I thought there may be less flicker and a little better contrast. One reason I'm asking it that I'm having a lot of trouble seeing aircraft below me when the background is geeen or water. I understand this is more of a problem with some maps than others. There is a long discussion on WarClouds about that.

DVI is HD it's HDMI without the sound feed, so you should get a better picture.

You will get a more crisp picture with DVI. Worth the switch seeing how you have the option available.

OK. I widdled the plug down enough to push it through the existing hole. It really does look more vivid and crisp. Hope it helps with those invisible aircraft.
