Ok took some shots at work today as promised to give you an idea of the zoom ranges of the 3 lenses I have. Top pictures are as is image size wise bar a little sharpened in photoshop (all the same amount)then all reduced to the 1000 pixel size

Remember though there are also very good third party lenses available too............

ok here goes all are hand held, the bottom three are seriously cropped and then sharpened with the odd adjustment in photoshop to give you an idea of min focus etc but again may be shaky as hand held..

I am actually glad I did these for you, as it's also helped me understand what I can and can't do with the lenses I have http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Hope they help you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Definitely impressed with the 70-300mm. Thislooks like a good all around lens to me. I'm going for that one. This definitely helped me and I really appreciate it Taylortony. This is my first SLR so I have a lot to learn. I just ordered a book on digital SLR photography so I can learn about proper shutter speeds and all that good stuff. Looks like I found another hobby to blow money on. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif This camera is great for showing off my model projects too.

Backside of my 1/16 Tiger I shot with the 18-55mm. Still working on the turrent. I used some photography lights and a background in this shot.

Too much color saturation but looking good. Photoshop will be a worthwhile investment for me. Now I can show off on the model builder forums.
