Dear Oleg,

I'd like to report a clipping error. If you follow these steps, you can look through your plane's wing:

- choose a Bf-109
- set view to wide screen
- turn your head horizontal to one side
- then turn your head up and down

Could you fix that error, please!

Best rgds,

vD

missing v sectional on wing root? present since original IL2? If I remember correctly it's a game limitation in display area.

It is a LEAKED beta version, and the file that will be available legally is different. I am sure that your reporting will be more helpful if it pertains to the open release candidate, and follows the reporting procedure outlined in the readme file.

Don't remember it in original Il-2, but since FB 1.0 it is well seen. It occurs with Messerschmitts and Focke Wulfs when using wide view from cockpit.

It's a clipping issue, but not an error.

The model uses 2 or 3 sided polygons.

This is a natural happenstance of increasing the FOV. It's surprising it doesn't appear on more models.

Not a bug. Not going to be fixed.

This has been present since the prerelease demo.

IMHO eliminating this problem should be the #1 most important priority in the development of BoB & beyond! I believe this is the sole reason the viewpoints are too low in most planes in this game.

Hunter82 is correct. This is a game engine limitation that never can be corrected in FB. The disappearing wing in page down view has been around since the original IL-2 Sturmovik.

Actually...

Thats a limitation of the game engine. Oleg knows its there, but it cannot be fixed because of the way that the game engine renders those planes, or so he (Oleg) has said in the past.

You can do it in a FW-190 and Bf-109.
