I have a few questions.

1. is this worth buying?
2. do you need to patch up AEP first?
3. once you install BOE can you still do the merged install of PF and add the PF patches?

BoE adds missions/campaigns and some skins to Forgotten Battles.

It's installable into FB, into FB+AEP, and FB+AEP+PF.
The only thing really needed is FB.
As it contains only missions/campaigns, it's not related to patch levels.
(After installing it to FB, you can install AEP, or any patches...)

Is it worth buying?
I think so... but this remains a very personal thing....

Here's an overview of startable campaigns that BoE added to my FB:
Germany: Rocket Interceptor (Me-163), BF110 Interceptor, Night Bomber (Ju87D)
RAF: Fighter (Spitfire)
USA: P38 Fighter bomber, P47 fighter bomber, P51 Fighter Bomber.

Have fun!

knarf1981, I will say a definite yes to your first question. Don't just take my word for it though. www.netwings.org (http://www.netwings.org) has an excellent article in their news section 2-19-04 I believe that was the date. It's on the first page. It took about a week for it to arrive from England. The CD is copy protected and the install qite easy. Ignore the
old game patches on it. Second, If you have Pacific Fighters installed, thats 3.0 So in a less than tech- way. The merged install ie: FB+AEP+BOE+PF should be OK. I have them all installed on a seperate hard drive. It with my other add ons takes a good deal of space . Then if your internet connection permits update 3.0-3.4m (Merged). There are three updates to the add on. Two can be found on Just Flights web page. The third I found in these forums at SimHQ. I enjoy using the Host choice option; that many of the other add ons Lack in MP Campaign mode. They also have great customer suppot. Hope this helps. Nobody likes to spend money on low quality software. Good luck with your choice. Fly with Honor. ~S~

I spent my money on it and haven't regretted it at all. I'm fying the RAF Ardennes campaign I just downloaded from the free patch at Just Flight.

If your copy doesn't come with the patch, remember this.

You don't need the CDROM in your rig to run the game after installation. But, you need the CDROM in your rig for installation of the patch.

That detail screwed me up for a bit.

IN my opinion BOE really isn't worth it. In fact I've found that none of the third party addon stuff I've bought has been worth it. There is plenty of free campaigns and missions that are absolutely awesome and I ten times more exciting than BOE will ever be.
