Is it possible to open the cockpit canopy without bailing out? In CFS3 this is possible and I find it to be very eye-candy. And in RF, when the weather was hot, they used to take off with sliding canopies back, until a freezing altitude was reached.

Wouldn't it be cool? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

No.

BTW a feature that I'm missing too./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Especially on the upcoming A6M2/5 and Ki-84 and some russian a/c./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Yes it is a feature that I really dig in the CFS series and a few others. Does nothing really (except in Battle of Britain where you can lean out the canopy for a better view of the strip!) but it does add nice immersion to the game.

I would like the ability to kick out the windscrene when it gets covered with oil! being a bad pilot, I experience this problem all too often. stubby

Well, it would certainly be cooler for the pilots in hot weather /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif (don't think this problem exists in Russia though /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ).
But yeah, sounds like a nice idea, but don't think this should be on the top of the to-do list.
