Hello. I decided to start this thread because I want to know your opinion.
Also, I would like to share with you my thoughts.
I think that the name of hero class should be more "free". That is, I want to say, that the name of the hero must reflect not only the concept of the city and the fraction that represents the hero, but to be at the same time a solid and well-known.
Also, I want to tell a about the Warlock. Who is the Warlock in MM Universe? It's the dark druid who use his knowledge about the nature for destruction. We know this from Might and Magic VII where Warlock was a "dark" promotion of druid. We know this from HoMM V where Warlock's abilities strengthened his spells by means of the elements.
In HoMM V we met dark elves cultists, who worshiped Ur'Gash. But Warlock were not Heretics or Demonologists. So I think, that Warlock could be a "blood" promotion of Druid, if elves will appear in the expansion. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
And the idea that the Warlock=Demonologist was taken from WarCraft, not from Might and Magic.
***
I present to you my version of some class names. Most of the names were taken from MM and HoMM.
Town(type): Neutral - Tears/2nd variant or Blood.
Haven (might): Cavalier - Crusader or Vindicator.
Haven(magic): Cleric - Confessor/Cardinal or Inquizitor/Chaplain.
Necropolis (might): (Black or Dark)Champion - Death Knight or Cuisinart (mighty dark knights from MM VI).
Necropolis(magic): Necromancer - Reaper or Power Lich/Demilich.
Inferno(might): Heretic - Fireguard or Demoniac.
Inferno(magic): Firekeeper/Fire Diviner - Demonologist of Pyromancer.
Stronghold(might): without any changes.
Stronghold(magic): Shaman - Favored or Stormcaller.
Sanctuary(might): without any changes.
Sanctuary(magic): Monk - Initiate or Ninja.

I like some of your ideas, but not all.
The ones I dislike are the following:
Cavalier:Well I kinda think, that the knight fits better because the sun riders are already some sort of cavalery.
Death Knight of Cuisinart:Why are they from cuisinart, that doesn't make any sense(and I think you forgot the neutral might hero for the necropolis)
Demilich/powerlich: sounds too much like a creature, especially demilich, since it would mean, that the hero himself is not even a full lich, which would sound like he would be inferior to the normal lich
Favored: I don't know wheres the point of the shaman becoming a favored and I think the earth shaper is better, because the orcs worship father sky and mother earth(the earth shapers represent the earth, while the stormcallers represent the sky)
Ninja:Why does a monk(people who you except to fight fair)turn into a ninja(people who are known for fighting in a dishonorable method),especially since there is no reason for the ninja to be a magic hero.

The rest is ok in my opinion, nothing special, but also not bad

This is the name I took from Might and Magic VII, where Cavalier was promotion of Knight. I also thought at first to make Knight as a neutral hero. But then, so as not to repeat the word "Knight", I decided to name him "Cavalier".
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Death Knight of Cuisinart </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I beg your pardon, I was wrong. Death Knight or Cuisinart.

Demilich is a kind of a very powerful lich. I have alternative variant: Pale Master.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">I don't know wheres the point of the shaman becoming a favored and I think the earth shaper is better, because the orcs worship father sky and mother earth </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Favored of Mother Earth. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It was one of the promotions of monk in Might and Magic VII. Also I think that this name suited to the concept of Sanctuary.

P.S. I would like to add that the offer to discuss here not only my variants of class names. If you have any ideas about class abilities or class names, then please write it here.

Understandable but I still think that knight would fit better.

But what is a cuisinart?
I doubt it has something to do with this:

but demi means half so it would mean half-lich,which would mean, that the hero isn't even a lich.

But that would be too long...

yeah, but back then it already didn't make much sense

well I wanted to think of names for the hero classes in the future and I'll post them when I'm done

I searched the internet meaning of the word "Cuisinart" and found a description of the kitchen appliances too. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Therefore, I am sending you this links:
http://www.mm6rus.narod.ru/6_monsters.htm
http://www.mm6rus.narod.ru/show/6_img1/knight3.jpg
Cuisinart is the "byname" of Death Knights. I'll think about alternative variants.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">but demi means half so it would mean half-lich,which would mean,that the hero isn't even a lich. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

So I suggested a shorter name. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif The fact that Favorite shaman worship the Mother Earth may be written in description of the class.

Ahh the Cuisinarts of MM6! A legendary oddity in the world of RPGs in my opinion. I believe that it was in fact a joke off of the Cuisinart brand food processors and kitchen appliances.

Anyway, I really like your list Kastore! Coming up with character classes and promotions can be a struggle and you usually end up revising your first draft. You've got a good start on these, however, pitching it to Ubi is another story.
