Hi,
I'm a french pilot, I just love that sim that I think it kisses perfection... I just have a request (just one!): I would like to see people from my plane.
This game is realistic but that point is missing I think. I know it's technically difficult but when I will see farmers working the land and people walking trough streets of Kerch I will say to myself that I'm really flying (with brids in the sky please!)

Do Oleg read thoses posts?

The last thing I need is a bird strike during a dog fight! LOL

I wouldn't hold your breath on this. The system resources it would take to make this happen would be insane.

AI aircraft *still* see through clouds after 2 years of IL~2/FB, and all we want is to watch ants on the ground?

Oleg, no people needed. AI programming needed. Thanks. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

FYI,EAW has birds, and framerate on today's computers allows you to fly at 1600x1200 with 250 planes up in air (but a close look at the planes shows they're at FB's LOD nā?3 details though /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ).

I don't think we need people on the fields and cities, but some people running around near ground targets would be neat. Something similar to the people that try to escape from transport columns when they are being shot at. It would be very cool to have people running around on airports, trains stations, etc.

Bump! Like In Jane's WW2. It's immersive to have a column scattering around during a low level flight.

S!

Actually, we HAD crew and soldiers scattering from truck columns in IL-2.

Big framerate hit, big stutter. You have to weigh all that for best gameplay.

It's all great if most modern PCs and their vid cards can hack it. If not, or if in doubt, leave it out. The fighting and the ground targets themselves are the most important things.

Another entry for the options screen?
