I convinced my brother to go onto Hyperloby last night for the first time. We chose a airport that had no one on it so we could do a check flight and get into the swin of things.

To even up the numbers we chose the Blue team.
He spawned in 190 that was lined up on the runway and I was in another in the parking area.

I looked over to see another plane diving down out of the skies and plant a bomb directly onto his plane ( 8 second into the mission!) If only I had kept a track!

Then both of us were kicked from the server for some reason!

The conversation was something like this!

Bro: "Hey I'm on the runway! where are you?"
Me: "I'm at your 10 O'clock, just starting up my engine!"
Bro: "Engines on, Check, Flaps set for takeoff, check, Hatches and Harnesses check"
Me: "WATCH OUT!, Bandit, your 3 Oclock!"
Bro: "Hey Somethings gone wrong!"
Me: "Your dead Jim"
Bro:"I can't get back in my cockpit"
Me: "James Your dead! They killed you"
Bro: "No, I was just starting my....

It went on even after we'ld been kicked from the server.

We then had a more successful missions on another server.

I can't exactly rembering explaining what a vulcher was before but he certainly knows now! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Most servers OK vulching with bombs, some with bombs or rockets, the main no-no is vulching with guns, bad manners.

Hey! Don't get me wrong. War is hell! I think the said pilot was doing his duty to his team,

I was just pointing out that my brothers first experience with il2 online was 8 second long.

My personal favourite is the cassette loadout on the IL2. Great for flack suppression and Squadrons lining up onthe keyway!

Try Ukdedicated2, mate. They have pretty sensible rules regarding vulching, taking into account that its a computer game, not real war.

Plus the guys and admins are extrememly freindly and helpful to new pilots. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

+1

While I haven't been there in a while, this is a true statement. Great missions, too.
