I run MS Antispy,webroot,Ad-Aware and Spybot.I tink you need to run more than one program as they seem to find different things.I brought the licenced version of Webroot and if/when MS Antispy passes its beta stage and requires a licenced version to run it i will get that too

I'm using Blocklist Manager (http://www.bluetack.co.uk/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=1) together with ProtoWall (http://www.bluetack.co.uk/pwhelp/) system-level IP Blocker and I update the blocklists on a daily basis. I block the following lists Micro$ucks related, DShield Recommended, Spiders, Spyware, Adware, Trojans, and Edu/Gov/Military-ranges.

- To the mods - this is NOT p2p software! - don't throw away the baby with the bathwater like they say over here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

- Check http://www.dshield.org if your system is hacked too...

Besides that (and it already blocks MOST - even the pesty little tracker on this forum: "Hitbox.com ads" from 64.154.80.250:80 - I know Infopoop forum uses it for some of it's functions) I use Ad-Aware, SpySweeper and Spybot S&D.

I also have two firewalls running at all times, and scan for viruses daily.

Needless to say I don't trust M$ - even if I can "see" them...

And even with all that running I know I'm not secure.

One day, advertisers will find a way of putting adverts into your dreams.

You'll be tracked by facial recognition cameras as you walk down the street and spammed with holographic advertisements based on your recent purchases which are all tracked and meticulously analyzed.

Nowhere will be safe, y

We will all need our "Rusty Shackleford" names for all purchases.
