I don't know about the P-40E, but the P-40M is right where it should be, I think. All of you that say it suks, learn to fly!!! Seriously, with enough B & Z practice, this is a deadly plane! I suggest trying it against bombers, set the convergence at 100 for everything, and fire really close. The closer you get, the plane is more likely to shred whatever you shoot at. And the diving speed is incredible. My lord!

Well I'm doing an offline campaign in it and it is acceptable for a fighter. Not outstanding, but does it job.
Some people have posted that all P-40s are a little slower in FB than they were in RL, but I'm not sure. One of it's strengths is it's high speed turn, which is good enough to give you a "black-out". It's low speed turn at the edge of a stall is as good as a 109, but you can't turn inside them anymore like you could before the patch. Seems they have toned down the low speed turning some. I don't know much about the dives like you said but I do know it dives without blowing up like it used to.

Yeah, a few weeks ago i was pi*sed because i was diving in my 190A5 and a P40M was keeping up to speed with my, not losing ground, not gaining. I was about to whine, then i wisely took one up and it does in fact, dive like a monster, which i found out through some online research.
