So I was going to check out the trailer video on the official sight. After I downloaded it, I found out that in order to actually play the video, I have to purchase a $15.00 codec from some company. No thanks. What the hell were you thinking, 1C:Maddox?

lol

You have windows media 10 don't you?

Same thing happened to me. I think it is a clitch in v10 because I played the trailer just fine on my work computer and it is v9.0

You buy codecs if you want to compress stuff....not for decompression. Where is this idea coming from...your not the first.

um, I don't think that you are correct. If you want to watch certain things that have compressed with certain utilities, you have to have the codec to watch them.

try Video Lan (http://www.videolan.org/), it plays everything, and is open-source (free).
