One or two health and safety issues made apparent by that clip...

I watched the movie about year ago on DVD. Sure it was enterteining, but I found the special effects somewhat flimsy.. Still worth a watch.

Wow. Pretty intense.

I still prefer the upgraded version though - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBQJLicNtdY http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Great clip!

But i don't get it - how many times was that battleship hit by .50cals? Yet it did not flip over or spontaneously explode!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

..... That was before the 50cal SGRATCAPDU round (self-guided rocket-assisted teflon-coated armor-piercing depleted uranium) ammunition could be issued in large quantity.

Ah, did the ETO have priority for that?

I`ve seen it... it`s not one really.. some battlescenes, and of course there`s Yamato, lots of Japanese shouting which I loved http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif , but it`s a bit of the romantic/tribute stuff and not very realistic battlescenes, lots of clichés and mediocre acting, crappy CGI work and too many steril in-studio scenes.. Worth to watch once because of the subject itself, but it won`t be a classic. Sure not fitting into the classic, realistic move line of Das Boot, Stalingrad, Der Untergang, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers I like so much because of their realistic and honest approach.

I place my hopes in the Richthofen movie.
