That's a Fairey Firefly, and it's a genuine photo, not a fake.

is the firefly the one that used to be based at duxford?
if it is that plane then you may be dissapointed to hear it was destroyed in a flying 'accident'

I had the grave misfortune of seeing that aircraft crash last July at Duxford airshow. the pilot died on impact, the second crewman an hour later in hospital
