Have been reading in this forum that the next game in the series could be set during the Battle of Britain. What they think about a radical changing in Oleg games line. The group of fighters and bombs used in this time, are the same of WWW II end. Including MIG's and Sabre's it1s will be amazing !!!!

I'd like to see more WWII stuff, icluding the Med, the Sino-Japanese war and even some Spanish Civil war scenarios.

Korean War? PF doesn't even have the F4U-4 and now you'll want an F4U-5N? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey, how about a war of 1812 sim while they are at it, or maybe a stunning rendition of the first Serbo-Croation war?

I think Korea would be a gas. Trying to land a Panther on an Essex class would make the prop stuff seem like a piece of cake.

i personally would rather have a WW1 sim.

I am looking forward to the ETO being done in more detail. Hopefully there will be
A)- flyable night-fighters with working electronics
B)- flyable bombers with working electronics (H2S and what-have-you)
C)- FAA aviation in the North Atlantic. Fulmars, Swordfish, Sea Hurricanes, Barracudas, Skuas, ...

After that, I'd like to see a good WWI sim. The brand-new structural DM for BoB looks perfect for that sort of thing.

I would *love* a spanish civil war sim, I can't think of a single game that has an early model 109(b c or d) in it. korea would be really nice to see too, but its sort of done already in that other sim everyone here hates.

korea would be very very kool to me. you still have alot of ww2 era planes pluse early Jets. lots of air to air as well as air to ground. could even use carriers. we already have essex class.

I dont know about ww1 though. i never could see what would be fun about that. just my opinion.

I was slightly disapointed to hear that the next would be BoB. not upset. i think there is alot of potentle there. i just hope thay flesh it out a little more than there past.

I'd love to see a FB/PF based Korean war sim. A few problems though are that you'd need a large area in 1 map and I can just imagine the whining when people can't achieve the 12 to 1 kill ratio the USAF achieved over Korea.

I also think that online with equal skilled pilots on both sides given the advantages enjoyed by the Mig-15 over Mig Alley I'd wonder how the B-29's and F-86's will survive!

I'd also love to fly the Twin Mustang (which unlike a certain other plane) really did see combat, the A4D Skyraider, the F3D Skyknight...

Okay I'll stop drooling now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'd pay for a Korean War add-on. I would just like to see 1C Maddox do some of the late war or post war planes that don't always get a lot of attention in other sims.

Hi All,

Korea gets my vote.

I think we need a replacement Korean sim for 'Mig Alley' and I'm sure the IL2 engine would be perfect, still some life in the Il2 engine yet I'm sure.

Perhaps Oleg and Luther, now that PF is out Korean war could be there next project together. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Next to WW2 the Korean war is my next interest. Early Jets and late props. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

Lets hope anyway, that we get a Korean war sooner than later (with 'later' I mean after BOB).

i m realy think the maddox team has enough work to make their totaly new BoB project ready and still mantain the FB/PF series with some patches and AdOns !

sure, Korea would be very interesting , a little bit onesided , in the groundattack role, but, see above http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

This is a bit OT, but why "Battle of Britain"?
I really don't understand why Oleg chose Battle of Britain as a new theatre while theres another interesting ones.

just guesses:
- its a well known theater. should not to difficult to get some sources for historical research.
- to keep the game on one area and a relativ (in comparison to IL2) small number of flyable aircraft they can concentrate to make THESE correct.
- itif the engine will work (sure after some patches http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) its easy to update the theater with 41-44 AdOns

well, sure, BoB isnt also mine preffered Airware - but thats absolutly personal http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

in german we have that sentence "klein, aber fein" ~ small bud good

What would be even better would be a mediterranean theatre of operation expansion.
This way, new nationalities airplanes could be introduced in the game: Vichy France and Italian airplanes would be much more interesting to fly in my opinion, having never been introduced in a sim before, whereas a Korean conflict have already been seen.

Perhaps, it'd be cool if there was some way for it to happen, even if it was a third party that did it.

As for being one sided, it would not be so one sided with equal skill levels. The main factor in the kill ratio enjoyed by the USAF/USN was the skill of their aviators (particularly their WW2 vets) and not any superiority in the planes they flew.

Spanish Civil War. What other war allows you to start with WW1-like stuff (Breguet XIX, Nieuport sesquiplanes... even Avro 504!) and end with early WW2 technology with Emils, He 111 and so... in just three years! And a lot of stuff indeed, made in more than ten countries.

The most varied and interesting era of air war, when modern tactics and full-metal cantilever technology replaced the obsolescent world of biplanes.

nah, dont think korea would work with the style of play developed for il2/pf. flying jets and stuff-naaah. id say a WW1 sim, that was the best time for aerial combat. Bristol f2b's, DH.9.a's Roland CII's, Friedrichshafen G.3's, Pfalz's, R.E. 8's, the list goes on!!!

Hi,

Korea? Sure. After a WW1 sim, though.

Who knows, if the BoB engine is truly flexible, it may just be better able to deal with all 'types' of theatres (high alt, low alt etc).

Cheers,
Norris
