Couldn't help but notice that the reticle was on the left instead of the right in the 109. What is up with that?

Pretty neat. I didn't know about the movie, but I'll make an effort to see it.

Kind of like the 8 year olds with Panzerfausts in Berlin...

Well, 18-yr-olds look pretty callow---esp when you are over 25. Cyril Barton, a Bomber Command VC, who was killed trying to bring in his Halifax after the nasty Nuremberg massacre in March '44, looked like I did when I was 14, and he was 22:

Take a look at before and after photos. Before photos have peach fuzz and later/after photos have then aged a decade or two. Putting your life on the line will do that.

Yep, "Dark Blue World", no doubt. I love that movie... but he should have kept the dog.

If anyone here hasn't seen it, they really should. A very fine piece of film making with some beautiful Spits in it. The kind of movie that Hollywood couldn't make if their collective lives depended on it! A must see for any warbird buff.
