View Full Version : Torpedo running depth, not the usual question :)

This always bugged me. It says in the manual and in the TDC that torpedoes can be set to 25 meters. Question is, its nice to have it, but what's the use of that if the largest ships don't go below 15 meters (I think)?? Is it for a situation when a ship sinks up to its mastheads and then decides to stop? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Sub v Sub? although that would be one hell of a shot

Indeed it would... And then there's that same old depth guessing game, except subs have a harder time than destroyers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Perhaps if one of the "biggies" floats deck awash but doesn't go down and you try to give it the coup de grace with a Magnetic? I don't use Tonnage War myself but I understand that's quite possible with the altered damage model.

Why the developers allowed for the 25 in stock SH3 beats me but perhaps it's for historical accuracy even if not strictly necessary in the game.
