View Full Version : If BoB had a collectors edition, what single item would you like to see it include?

My reason for asking this, is that I miss a good 'in your hand' Manual.

Yes IL2 manual could be found in the game folder, but if any of you lot remember when European Air War came out, that for me, was a definitive Game Manual.

It not only contained info about the game, but also pilot/fighter tactics and descriptions of manoeuvres along with other useful material.

I would love to see BoB come with a 'thick' paperback manual, obviously containing the game controls, but with WW2 pilots describing the tactics they used, battles they fought, descriptions of manoeuvres and how to perform them.

So, that's my wish, anything else that could be included that you can think of?

Cheers, MP.

A die-cast WWII aeroplane would be nice - but might push the price up. Then we'd all argue over which one...maybe not such a good idea.

I want a t-shirt. It would say 'I won the BoB and all I got was this lousy t-shirt'.

A thick manual has to be made, printed and shipped into some box...
It's nice, but it would make the product much more expensive...

And for the EXTREME Collectors edition, a 1940 vintage Supermarine Spitfire MkI complete with modern avionics and nine hours of flight instruction.

Granted, there would be a limited market for such a niche product...

A voucher for 50 % off the follow on edition would be sweet....

I bought the SH limited edition and that was good............

For BOB perhaps a voucher that enters the owner in a competition to fly in a real warbird.....

one for each country should be possible http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

have it drawn on the forums and a time limit to claim it before another number is offered until it's won............. As I have already flown in many warbirds I will pass on the prize unless its something seriously different http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

or a worldwide one to win a sponsorship to PPL standard....should cost them about 6,000 which is pitance in advertising and will change the life of one individual.

Flyable Fieseler Storch.

This could be the Storch General Broadhurst flew in to France with notable passenger Winston Churchill on June 10, 1944.

A full Aircraft recognition book and a proper map of the front say along the lines of 4' by 4'. Or they could go back the original packaging that the first IL2 had...
Failing all of those, how about an individual pdf format Aircraft manual for each type with full instructions on complex engine management etc etc and a instrument panel description..

Yeah, I know I want a proper manual, but an authentic map of the period would be cool, or even an individual one for Britain, France and Germany with flight routes marked on it?

Nice!

Cheers, MP.
