View Full Version : Call Signs and radio chatter

Hi there,

I've got one point of critic to the whole IL2 and Pacific Fighter Series, the Radio Chatter is quit confusing. Why do nobody of the NPC Squadron Leaders says its callsign before he send a message over the ether? Its quit anoying if you don't know whether the command is from the bomber squadron somewhere on the other end of the map or from your wing/squadron leader. Because I like to start campaigns in lower ranks, I would like to see spoken call sign before every radio message. Also would it be convinient to get the current flight speed from the squadron leader, not just height and direction if he changes course.

Despite all that, what a wonderfull game, hope that the lead programmer gets better soon to get the new update http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Get well soon!

Yeah, it bothers me when I hear my wingman cry out:

"This is Six, somebody get him off me!"

So I break my attack and start scanning the skies for him ... And it turns out that it's #6 from some other flight 20 miles away.

EAW was nice in that radio calls were always proceeded by the flight nick... white six vs green six, etc.

I'd like to see that little tweak in this game...

Definitely the room is exists in IL2 series to do something like that and the call signs exists so it's a matter of Oleg & Co. to rework how the game calls out. I also wish to have this in the game!
