Hi guys,

I know we have a few forum members that are ESL teachers living abroad. I'd like to know how many.

I'm living and teaching in China.

Well, do us all a favor and stop using ESL. Other kids in my English class hate when I proofread their papers because I slam all of their abbreviations. It seems that the youth of today has become so accustomed to abbreviated text messaging, that they've forgotten how to spell, punctuate, and type complete words.

Enjoying a sunset view of Mt Fuji 5 x a week. Oh, and a powerline. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif High schools here - a big improvement on the standard eikaiwa gig. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

I'm in Tanggu, Tianjin, about 250km east/southeast of Beijing. We'd be neighbors if it wasn't for 2 bodies of water and N.Korea. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

BTW, the Mandarin word for Japan translates to "The root of the sun".
