Does anyone have a list of the German ordinance available in FB/AE/PF and their applied useages?

For instance, the differance between the AB, SC, PC Bombs, rockets, gunpods, etc. and their intended deployment? I have searched around a bit and havent really been able to dig up anything too concise.

Recently I flew an anti-armor flight in a Stuka, and the ordinance I used was clearly meant for close support/anti-infantry. The tanks just laughed at me, as I'm sure you will too, heh!

Thanks you all in advance!

Tanks tend to do that. Literally, if you dont drop the bomb right into the tank's crew hatch, it will not be destroyed. Even if it drops 2 feet away from the tank, the tank remains unharmed.

Yeesh. I'm a fairly inaccurate dive bomber, and I can't strafe very well. My dive bombs from 2000 feet to 500 feet usually land 5-10 meters from the target. Should I get better at dive bombing (which will inevitably happen) or change my method of engaging the tanks?

-SC & SD (no differnece in game) are standart porpouse bombs.

-AB are clusterbombs.
AB250 vs soft targets
AB500 vs armoured targets

the dealy here is giving the time after what the bomplets are relased + the standart 3sec

-PC , armourpiercing. against ships are fortresses.
in game they work like SC/SC, are giving no additional impact against ships

-WerfGR 21 , an anti bomber weapon. delay is saying after wich time it is exploding .also very usefull in groundattack

-all Gunpods (MG151/20, MK108, Twin MG151/20 , MK103 , Bf110 BK3,7 )were planed to attack the US bombers. given the fighter more firepower in the same time.

-R4M, will be relased all at once ! to give a shotgun efect vs bomberformations

-Torpedoes, well ............... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

That's precisely what I was looking for, and very concise. Thanks a bunch, Frankyboy!

Now, let's see if I can wipe the smiles and bomb the giggles out of those tank commanders. Eat my AB-500!

One last question, seriously http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Can tanks be destroyed by a strafing run in a Stuka with it's standard guns? I swear I hit that tin can with 20% of my rounds, and nothing! I know I'm no A-10 Tank Killer with depleted uranium shells, but seriously, it didn't even slow them down. And I swear I saw the tank try and shoot me out of the sky. Do they do that?

I think the AB250 is for armor and AB500 for soft targets. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

i doubt that any tank in game can be destroyed by the MG17 of the Ju87B2 and Ju87D3 ?
i never tested it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

the Ju87D-5 with its MG151/20 , well, yes, lighter tanks can be killed.

and yes, the tanks are shooting back http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

the AB250 is filled with SD2 splitter bomlets
the AB500 is filled with SD4HL armourpiercing bomblets. unfortunatly you need a direct hit with such a SD4HL to kill a tank . so its often luck to kill one

OK i'm wrong. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif It depends what bomblets it contains.

It's also said that the tanks are modeled with front, rear, top armour, so high rear attacks will have a better chance of destruction. There's no "damage bubble" that you can hit with light MG fire and whittle down an MBT like in other game/sims, iirc.

Use the Stuka D-5 for a while and get used to its sight. By the time you get used to that dive bombing will be much easier.

Man, you guys are great! Thanks for all your help!

And Jaws, thanks for the link on Luftwaffe ordinance, it's a light and educational read.
