In 4.01 there was a nice tire sound when touching...I don't recall hearing it anymore in 4.02

I only hear either a "non-sound" for a successful landing or "smash and crash" for an unsuccessful one.

I would love for you to explain this.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Anyway, I'm just messing with you. I really wanted to mention the picture in your sig. I'm sure that by looking at my name you can guess one of my hobbies... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I took note of this just the other day. Even the rattling noise is gone.

4.02 Readme says:

Russian Superlube added to pogostick in tailwheel to ease sound.

Still not correct pogostick effect of tailwheel offrunway is still here, we try to deflate tires nextpatch but run into problem with solid rubber tailwheel of certain aircraft.

Ah, problem solved!

Pressing "G" key before landing turns the sound off. Do not pres the "G" key and you'll have your sound back. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

It's still there for the I-16. I think that's it though.

I16, Georgia State 404, Savannah to Atlanta? Tough? Nah, just do like we do with crayons; stay inside the lines and the results will be good. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I never put the two together. I actually have an Aviar putter! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I've had that putter since the day I bought real golf discs to play the game. That must have been 1997.

Good to know there's another disc thrower out there!

I'm wondering why we don't hear the tire touch anymore?

Do you suppose it's because we have to grease in the landings so tenderly now (since 4.01) that the game doesn't recognize a hard enough touchdown to give us that feedback anymore? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I just recorded a few landings. From outside, F2 key, you can hear the tires and the rattling. From inside, there is no sound.

Interesting though, I was landing on a snow covered runway on the Moscow1 map and was down to about 50kph when my plane suddenly fell apart. I replayed the track to see what happened. It seems my wheel must have hit some of the Russian grass burried under the snow. My right wing just fell off at the root and disintegrated. Very strange.
